your girls are beautiful and the car ain't so bad either. if you don't mind me asking, how do you go about putting a picture in a posting the way you did? thanks eric
-
Is there something specific I should look for to figure which it could be. Also, do you think at some there a chance the problem gets worse and the kar becomes undriveable. thx

When I first startup my kar and push down on the clutch, I hear a whirling sound coming from the trans most likely. When I take my foot off the clutch and the car is idling every is normal. When the car is warmed and I start driving the whirling sound goes away. The kar runs perfectly normal, no problems shifting etc. Thanks in advance for help. Eric.

I live in NJ, if there is something I can do to help let me know. I've only come across a coupe of other K codes in NJ but they don't match the description of your car. Eric

I believe this car was for sale by a member of this site a few months back. Silver blue wasnt the original color and I'm pretty sure the engine is notmnumbers matching If it is the same car the prior owner restored it himself. I may have some notes I can find if anyone is interested.

Anyone have any idea what vehicle a hipo block might have come from that has a vin stamping starting with 33 ?? thanks in advance. Would the stamping format have been different for ford cars using hipo motors in 1963?

It's a beauty seems like a reasonable price if everything checks out.. Really like the pinstripe/rocker panel look and no side scoop, same as my 65Konv...
-
Steve -- appreciate the offer. I already own a 65 Konv, wanted to add a fastback.. If you have interest in my 68.5 CJ let me know.. Thanks Eric
-
prefer a high quality driver with numbers that match.. In a perfect world, I'd love to swap my 68.5 428 Cobrajet Fastback if anyone is interested.
Thanks

I could swear this kar went thru either mecum or bj sometime last year. I remember the Nelson reference and the a/c. I believe it sold for something around 60k ?

I'm considering having my Kar repainted. The kar was restored about 30 years ago and still looks great but there are a couple of chips in the paint and other things that just happen over time.
I figured I'd reach out for advice and/or experiences that others have had. Anything not too obvious I should consider? Also, should I redo the underbody of the kar at the same time?
I have a quote from someone local who I think is pretty good to do the job for about $7k which seems reasonable.
Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated as always. Thanks in advance. Eric
