WTB C4 hipo torque converter

  • Hi all,

Chasing an original hipo C4 torque converter. Any leads would be appreciated

    Please reach out

    Thanks

The FORD MPC only lists a C6AZ 7902 M for many applications in the age of your Hipo C4. There was no specific Hipo torque converter. There were several other Hipo only changes in the transmission like the valve body, governor and intermediate band servo, but the torque converter was NOT one of them.

  • Ok thanks Fred. I always thought the hipo C4 torque converter was stamped “AJ” ?

I knew about the other internal stuff but always thought the transmission had a unique flex plate and TC.

    Thanks

The Hipo C4 does have a unique flex plate (C4OZ 6375 E) but is only different in the balance characteristics from a standard C4.
