I have come to the realization that my interest in Mustangs has dwindled and it's time to start letting someone else drive and enjoy my cars. I already sold my 70 Boss 302 and am listing my 66 hipo here as I know this is where the true enthusiasts are. It is a 66 GT fastback, vin# 6T09K189571. It is raven black with standard red w/red bucket seats and interior. I'm unsure if it is numbers matching so I'd assume it isn't and it has a 4 speed top loader. It has both tags/ stamps on the fender and the door tag. The door tag details are 63A A 25 13A 25 E 5. I hope to post pictures, but in case I can't figure it out I included the tag detail here. I bought the car in 2001 and did a full restoration including an engine rebuild and undercarriage. I bought it as a driver but then realized I couldn't halfway restore it so tried to get it as close to concourse as I could. However, I realize it is not a high point concourse car. It is a Colorado car but I moved to Iowa several months after buying it. I finished it, drove it for a few years and took it to some Iowa car shows and then parked it. So it needs a little TLC. I'm asking $65,000 but it is a starting point. Car prices seem crazy and I see hipos listed for some really high prices and realize that those buyers are few and far between and the cars have probably been listed for a long time. Pictures are attached, I hope. If interested or have comments please feel free to do so. My email address is scottkrguy@mchsi.com. Thank you.

I have done some more research on my car and taken more pictures that are attached here. First, I wasn't sure that it was the original block because I remember replacing a major part during the rebuild in 2001. After reviewing the engine builders notes, "a rod was bent and the crank was worn". So the major part was the crank. The engine was disassembled by the rebuilder and the block and heads were used but the crank was replaced. The pictures I've attached show the block casting number of C5AE-6015E and build date of 6K24 or November 24 1966. Tony Gregory's book says not all hipo motors had a vin stamp and I couldn't locate one. I've also attached pictures of the 19 and 20 stampings on the heads and vin stamp on the transmission. Additionally the car has a Holley carb on it but I have a newly rebuilt Autolite 4100 carb that I got in 2005 from Pony Carburetors. I just opened the box today and have photos attached. I should have done all this research prior to my first post but it's been hectic around here as I was getting a new tile roof on my house and garage. Scott

The 6K24 engine block date code, is actually October 24, 1966 which puts the block into the 1967 model year.
