Door tag/title on ebay for 5R09K143631. Car is not in Hipo registry and per the auction is destroyed. Can we add to registry with a note the car no longer exists?

This has come up before about vin numbers and tags and listing them destroyed on the registry. Two questions for you and all others. 1. Are you sure that is the vin number?
2. This ebay auction is for only the door tag the car may not be destroyed. I do think this is a scam, and that the car is gone. But should it be listed on the registry as destroyed without the fender vin?

Yes, that was the full VIN. It now looks like the seller has whited out the full VIN in the picture in the auction. Before, it was clearly visible. True, the auction does not include an actual fender apron VIN, but it does include a title. Again, prior to the seller changing the wording of the auction he stated:
"*** The car was destroyed along time ago, unfortunately, however I kept the tags thinking some day I might use them for something. I just found them in a file the other day and saw others have sold them here. ***"
