65 Mustang Fastback Twilight Turquoise with black standard interior is for sale on Bring A Trailer:
This 1965 Ford Mustang fastback is finished in Twilight Turquoise over black vinyl upholstery and powered by a K-Code 289ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 15″ wheels, front disc brakes, chrome bumpers, a dual exhaust, an electronic ignition, a Hurst shifter, and an AM/FM radio. The car was acquired by the current owner in an October 2020 BaT auction, and recent service consisted of rebuilding the carburetor, performing a compression test, as well as replacing the spark plugs, starter, and fluids. This Mustang fastback is now offered on dealer consignment in Oregon with recent service records and a clean Washington title.
Under previous ownership, reproduction quarter panels, floor panels, and front fenders were fitted before the car was refinished in Twilight Turquoise (5). Equipment includes chrome bumpers, a fender-mounted antenna, dual side view mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets. Imperfections are shown up-close in the gallery below.
Aftermarket 15″ rally-style wheels wear Ford Mustang center caps and are mounted with GT Radial Maxtour all-season tires. A matching spare is mounted in the trunk. K-code Mustangs received a steering box with a quicker ratio as well as a larger front sway bar. The car is also equipped with front disc brakes.
The interior features front bucket seats and a rear bench with black upholstery joined by matching black trim and carpeting. A Hurst shift lever and white knob have been installed along with an AM/FM radio and Mustang-branded floor mats.
A three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of factory instrumentation that includes a horizontal 120-mph speedometer flanked by fuel and temperature gauges. The turn signals do not self-cancel, and the seller reports that the five-digit odometer shows just over 47k miles. The true mileage is unknown.
Prior to the previous BaT auction, the original K-code engine was replaced with a rebuilt 289ci K-code V8. Equipment includes chrome valve covers, a larger-diameter alternator pulley, an electronic ignition module, and reinforcing plates for the dual exhaust. Recent service consisted of rebuilding the carburetor, performing a compression test, as well as replacing the spark plugs, starter, and fluids.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed Toploader manual transmission. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the image gallery.
