Hipo rod finish question

  • I have a set of hipo rods I’m prepping to sell. Going to sell individually for the person who needs 1 or 2 or wants a couple extras.

They had some rust so have been blasted, and now have that gray finish.

They’ve been magnafluxed, and am going to have them sized and checked for straightness, so the idea is to provide a rod that is known to be good, straight, matched cap, and ready to go….but wont look like it originally did.

    So my questions are:

    1) do you all think it’s worth trying to blue or dye them?

    2) anyone know of a bluing product or tool die that produces close to the original color?

    Thanks,

    Rich
