This is a set of 5 main bearing crankshaft bearing retaining caps.

They are original Ford.

They have been cleaned and are in excellent shape.

They are straight sided, not the tapered sided caps that are found on a standard 289.

This fits all HiPo 289 engines 1963 1964 1965 1966 1967 and would have been on Mustang Fairlane and Shelby Cars.

A reproduction set of 4 sells for $740 on the west coast.

They will be shipped either FedEx or UPS, so I will need a physical address.

These caps being advertised as Hipo are actually Mexican caps. The problem as Mexican caps is that, even as Mexican caps, they are incomplete. The rear cap is for a standard 289. I have already let the seller know about all of this.

Ford 289 Hi-Po main caps K code Shelby Mustang GT350 Cobra . Here is a set of 4 used main caps from a 289 Hi-Po engine block. There is a set of numbers 1 ,2 ,3 and 4 . There is no number 5 rear main cap that has the rear main seal included . These were removed from a race engine that had a main stud girdle installed so there is some slight machine work done to the top face of the cap where the girdle ran across the extreme top of the cap .These would be correct for any 289 Cobra or 65-67 Shelby GT350 engine block and appear to be in good shape ready to use. If you need a set of Hi Po caps for your block here they are. Winner pays for Priority Mail in the lower 48 states. Good luck bidding !

#1 cap has some rust pits

#2 cap has some minor rust pits

They have been sandblasted to show clear view.

These have to be align bored to the block they are installed on.

The #2 cap minor pits should be pretty well removed when align bored

The #1 cap pits well be removed to some degree but some will probably remain.

There will still be plenty of unblemished area to add the correct support for the bearing

If in doubt ask your machine shop.
