Authentic K-Code Mustang | 331 Stroker | MCA Gold | AACA Winner | Concours Restored
LaFontaine Classic Cars is proud to present this exceptional, authentic K-code Mustang, a nationally recognized example that represents the very foundation of Ford performance. Benefitting from a professional, nut-and-bolt rotisserie restoration, this Mustang has earned top honors across the most respected judging platforms and remains one of the finest examples available today.
Finished in its correct Rangoon Red over a correct Black vinyl interior, this Mustang has been restored with an uncompromising attention to factory detailfrom tags and markings to correct finishes and hardware throughout. The quality and accuracy of the restoration are evidenced by its Mustang Club of America Gold Award, AACA First Junior and First Senior awards, magazine feature coverage, and multiple concours invitations.
Power comes from a date-correct Ford 289 V8, stroked to 331 cubic inches, delivering enhanced performance while retaining factory-correct appearance. Power is sent through a correct Toploader 4-speed manual transmission to a Ford 9-inch rear axle with 3.50 gears, providing an engaging and authentic driving experience. The suspension has been subtly lowered to mirror period Shelby styling, while front disc and rear drum brakes provide confident stopping power.
Inside, the cabin has been fully restored to factory specifications, featuring correct Black vinyl upholstery, restored gauges, proper trim, and a correctly finished trunkfaithful in every detail to how these cars left Dearborn in 1965.
Riding on 14-inch Mustang Styled Steel wheels, this K-code Mustang presents as both a show-level concours car and a historically significant investment-grade classic. Documentation includes MCA judging sheets and a copy of its Antique Automobile Magazine feature, further validating its provenance and restoration quality.
Few Mustangs offer this combination of authenticity, national recognition, and timeless appeal. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a truly elite example of early Mustang performance ready to be enjoyed, shown, and proudly preserved.
