• On to stuff, So I am pulling the engine to do a clean up of the engine bay, some fresh gaskets on the engine. The question is how to best document this engine. It's a six bolt vin stamped block, core 20, 21 heads with replacement screw in rocker posts with guide plates, as the cast in guides are worn out, and roller tip rockers, stainless valves, hardened seats. Aftermarket hydraulic cam and roller timing chain, modified to retain hatchet weight. Orange paint on rods and crank, replacement rod bolts/nuts, std/std crank. bored .030" forged aftermarket pistons, aftermarket oil pump HP cast iron manifolds, ok chrome valve covers, thick dampener, possible original water pump, extra water pumps, front cover. A somewhat interesting side note, it has 8 right hand rods I assume from new.

    Welcome aboard!!

In regards to documenting the engine, your description of the engine seems to cover that pretty well. The only things missing are date codes.
