Ford Hipo 289 heads. Very nice set of matched heads. Date 3M23 1963 Dec.23 and 3L21 1963 Nov 21 both are 1964 models years.Never ported, milled, seats or had a valve job. Just a nice set of virgin set of heads. This is the heads used on the 1964 A.C. Cobra, Fairlanes and Cyclone and K code 271 horse power Mustangs or 306 horse power Shelby. The heads are used and sold as is of course. No welds, repairs, or bad threads. #19 numbers. They weight about 45lbs each.

Here we have a good used pair of Ford 289 High-performance heads gathered from one of our many buyouts. The 289 HiPo motor was the best Ford had to offer in the earlier model Shelby Mustangs and Fairlane's. The Shelby GT 350 and all K model Mustangs as well as HiPo Fairlane's all used these 271 HP motors. A stronger design these are a Cobra must, and we have quite a bit more so let us know your needs.

All the HiPo characteristics are present as seen in the photos. You can clearly see the recessed valve saddles and of course factory screw in studs. These 289 castings have a 19 on each head on the top corner and a pronounced 4V on both the top and bottom sides. Pictures clearly show casting number C5OE and date codes 3F6 (We have other dates which we will make available in the future) for those that are in need of this info. These set of heads are nice clean castings which is uncommon in these high revving motors.

We see no signs of cracks, welds but these heads have been straight edge verified as flat on the gasket side to assure a clean flat surface.
