FORD 1966 289 HiPo C6ZF-C Carb tag

Date June 1966 5th week.

A little rough, but something is better than nothing?

Found in a box of carb parts.

I have attached a photo of the carb that the tag actually came off of.

Came out of 20+ year storage.

Many " Experts" believe it's a reproduction because it doesn't have the registered "R".

But from all the evidence I saw, I personally believe that this was the original tag on that carburetor.

I will not go so far as to say that this is a reproduction tag. What I will say is that I have a fair number of original tags. Three of the are even C6ZF-C ones and all my tags have the R in a partial circle, as the left upper quarter of the circle is incomplete. The characters are all stamped with an even depth and none are twisted on their axis such as in the F in the date code on this one. The seller is trying to be honest in their description so you may want to believe what they are saying.
