These rods were listed as NOS? and being as the small ends had evidence of having been quite hot, I ruled out the NOS? statement in my mind. When installing and unistalling press fit rods, the current best way is to heat the small ends to make the pin move more easily. Being as they had been heated at least once for that R&R procedure, my determination is that they may or may not have been run, but they were not NOS. The seller was honest in their description with the NOS? as it gave the buyer the opportunity to determine the possible NOS status for themselves.

I have a full set of 1970 Boss 302 connecting rods. I had two sets that came with a Boss 302 engine that I purchased. My machinist decided to use the other set since it was already drilled out for floating pins. He said that these were still good. They have been reconditioned and previously balanced. Factory Ford Boss 302 or 289 HIPO Connecting Rods. These have been stored in a box in my basement for 30 years. I just had he 30 over TRW pistons removed to sell. I have the 30 over TRW Pistons from these rods in other listings. They are being sold AS IS. I would have them checked before installing. One of them looks like a new replacement rod as still has the yellow paint on it. They came out of my 69 Boss 302 Mustang. We rebuilt the engine had to bore 40 over to clean up, could not find pistons that size so ended up punching out 60 over with new Venolia Pistons and rods. These are priced far less than others on E-Bay and are getting harder to find.

This is a hard to find used set of Ford 5.155” 8 C3AE Boss connecting rods from my 1970 Boss 302 engine. These all have 3/8” ARP connecting rod bolts and have been resized for the extra torque needed for the ARP bolts. One of the rods is NOS (the yellow one) and was recently resized to be just like the rest. This set of rods will need to be balanced with your rotating assembly as the NOS rod has extra material on the big end cap unlike the other 7 ( can be seen in a photo). Only selling these as I want with Eagle H beam rods for my engine build for my Boss project.
