Here is a good used Pair of Ford Service 289 HiPo Special Hi Performance Cylinder Heads for a 1965 1966 1967 Mustang and Shelby GT350. These are the service replacements that could be ordered from Ford in 1968 and newer. These had been purchased in the late 1980's by the owner of a 1966 GT350 as spares for his car that he never used. They will need to been taken apart and cleaned up but should require no major work. They have the valve spring recesses that are unique to the HiPo heads. Both have C8ZE-D casting numbers and do no appear to have been milled and should clean up nicely. You are bidding on a nice SINGLE OEM Ford Mustang Shelby Fairlane 289 HiPo 67-68 cylinder head. Date code 3F4. Very good condition. Has a small crack on one of the rocker arm bosses, see pics. Looks like very mild porting or bowl blending has also been done, but they did very good job. May fit other vehicles. Check your application. Will make a nice addition to your OEM restoration or daily driver.

67-68 FORD SHELBY MUSTANG 289 HIPO OEM SINGLE CYLINDER HEAD K CODE GT350 | eBay

This head has a fairly common issue and is noted by the seller of the small crack in the rocker stud boss. There are actually 3 of the cracks and I recommend a repair be done before using the head. It is not an easy repair as brazing will not work so it needs to be cast iron welded. I have had a few of these heads with this issue successfully repaired but it is not cheap. These cracks are generally caused by use of a non Ford rocker stud which has the wrong radius where the threads end at the base of the stud.
