    Very nice original Hipo distributor with a 6AA date code. Turns freely as it has always been properly stored/maintained. This is an original part with widely desired date code, not a restamp. I'd like to get it into the proper car that needs it! It's really nice.

    The Ford 289 HP dual point distributor is a vintage performance part manufactured by Fomoco in the United States. It is made of aluminum and includes points, condenser, and coil wire. This distributor, with manufacturer part number C7ZF-12127-J, is designed for ignition systems of Ford/Mercury 221,260,289, and all 302 Cu.In. NON EFI engines.This particular distributor is date coded 6H26 (August 26, 1966). Distributor cap is include primarily for shipping purposes. It is serviceable but should be replaced.

    The distributor is stamped "C7ZF-12127-J" with a date code of "6H26". If that is correct then it was originally installed in a 1967 289 HiPo engine. Vary rare indeed and valued significantly higher than my asking price. However, it has been pointed out to me that this item may have been re-stamped and not actually a 1967 unit. I cannot verify one way or another as to the authenticity other than it is indeed a 289 HiPo distributor.

    Here is an Ebay auction for a used FoMoCo Hipo distributor including original ignition coil, coil bracket and NOS points by Ebay member "mustangdoctorofvegas" with a starting bid of $299.99:

    This is a nice used original Ford hipo dual point distributor with FOMOCO & part number C5OF-12127-E and date that looks like 5LC ?

    It included a Black MotorCraft cap and rotor . The rotor was hard to remove and it chipped at base when prying it off. The cap is old and discolored but looks functional ? It has replacement point innit and a used set that matches the one set in distributor.

    Also include in this package are 2 sets of NOS Motorcraft points with C9AZ-12127-C in them and a NOS Motorcraft condenser with C9AZ-12300-A on the box. The items themselves also have Motorcraft stamped on them !

    And lastly also included in this package is an original Ford Motorcraft yellow top coil and bracket.

    All these items were removed from the a 66 Shelby GT350 Hertz car in 1997 to upgrade to a newer system .

    All items are sold as is but I’m sure everything is in working condition. I’m not going to re-install the rotor when shipping due to it being tight to remove.

    I’ve seen this distributor alone listed up to $750 and I have NOS points , condenser and a yellow top coil & mount bracket included in this package so I’m starting my auction at $299,99 and letting you bidders pay what you will for this Rare Motorcraft hipo distributor and accessories !
