Here is an Ebay auction for an NOS C8ZF-J Hipo carburetor by Ebay member "frea-9" with a Buy-It-Now of $2,995.00:

Offered is a Autolite NOS factory carburetor for the Ford 271hp HiPo K code Mustang. Manual choke and in excellent original condition.

Bought it at a swap meet years ago and never used for a dream project K code Mustang that never came to be. Rare then, rarer today.

This carburetor is now considered to be a service replacement part. It was actually meant to be original equipment for the never built 68 Hipo 289 Mustang. This would have gone along with the other 68 Hipo 289 parts that Ford built of which all but one are now considered to be service replacement parts for earler Hipo 289 engines. Ford had made the harmonic balancer, heads, intake manifold, carburetor, Mexican block and fuel pump. The fuel pump is the only item that will not be a proper replacement for earlier Hipo 289 engines as it has a 3/8" rather than a 5/16" inlet nipple.
