The C4OF-AL carburetor is for a PCV system where the C5OF-L is for a road draft tube. Ford simply left the carburetors stamped as C4OF-AL and added the C5OF-L tag. The internal change from the C4OF-AL to C5OF-L was simply 51 primary jets and 70 secondary jets on the C4OF-AL to 52 primary and 68 secondary on the C5OF-L. This carburetor is acceptable to use in either application with only a jet change and use of the tag.

I figure that the buyer did not really understand what they were buying.
