Here is an Ebay auction for a used Hipo air cleaner lid and base by Ebay member "MagMustangs" with a starting bid of $249.00:

1963-Early 1965 Ford Mustang, Fastback, Coupe, Convertible, Shelby GT350, Cobra, Fairlane 500, Galaxie 500XL. ORIGINAL 289 HIPO - 427 AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY. These are ORIGINAL FORD PARTS. Early Double Hump Lid and Undated Base. These are in Good Useable Condition. The lid has bright chrome. There is some pitting and there is a dinged up section with a couple screw holes in it. The base is originally a non-nipple base but someone cut a hole and added a pcv nipple. No rust or pitting. It is a great base other than that. Someone could do some metal work on these and then rechrome/refinish or just use as-is on a heavily patinaed unrestored car

Here is an Ebay auction for a used air cleaner base and lid for a Hipo 289 by Ebay member "mustangmasters428" with a starting bid of $595.00:

Here we have an original 14 inch Air Breather Base and double dimpled Chrome Lid for a 64-66 HiPo 289 Mustang or 67 & Litre Galaxie. You will find these pieces to be far heavier in design than the reproduction models and when properly restored, to be exact in every detail for that classic original restoration. Real deal parts are hard to find & yes the extra pictured are for sale.

We feel that in the condition we are offering this item, that if you have an unrestored or Driven Class, the condition of this unit will probably be acceptable, although if yours is a Concours or Thoroughbred you will probably rechrome and repaint. Original parts for original cars, can't do any better than that, can you? Let us know if you need a single part or have another need.

A nice used original 1965-67 Mustang HiPo air cleaner lid with NOS base. I picked up a complete NOS C5ZZ-9600-W air cleaner assembly 35 years ago (original box in last photo). We used the lid on 6S213, sold the incorrect-dated bright red-rubbered element, and have the NOS base here on auction. Can't make out a date code on the base. The lid is used but suitable as is for a survivor/driver/local show car. I would re-chrome for an MCA/SAAC national-level thoroughbred/concours car. A correct-colored dark red-rubbered element for '63-66 Ford special high-performance applications is listed in another auction.

This auction is for the lid and base only. Element is not included in this auction, but is listed separately in ebay #

198295161374.

Will ship UPS Ground.
