68 R code body

I was talking to a buddy today that has been collecting mustangs since high school (early 70's). He told me that a guy wanted to buy a 68 R code coupe body that he has. The guy wants him to price it but he has no idea what it might be worth. Maybe you guys could help. I haven't seen it but it has the vin # on it but no door data plate. It's been stripped of the driveline, but has the hood. Any ideas? Thanks.

If it's a stripped shell without the original drivetrain, it still has value, but not a whole lot more than a comparably equipped smallblock.

Lots of unique parts for a 68 R code, neat car.

A stripped rust free R code shell should be worth $6000-10K Depending on whats left of it. I would need pictures to give a good value.
