Engine Bay Detailing

I have a low mileage K with all original interior and engine bay. I would like to clean up the engine bay and hopefully bring out the luster of the paint without re-painting it. I will be pulling the engine out as it needs some serious cleaning. What would you recommend I use to liven up the engine bay?

I have had got luck cleanihg with Simple Green and spraying with WD40 afterward.
