65 Trim Codes

This may seem like a goofy question , but what is the difference in 65 car that had standard(not deluxe) interior that was red. While looking in the hipo book there is: code 25 that says red vinyl and code 65* that is just Red the * means interior decor group. What does this mean? What is the difference in the two? thanks
