WTB Rear Frame Rail Crush Tubes

I found out last week that I was mising the crush tubes in the rear frame rails of my 66 hipo.After talking with the the restorer today it seams my frame rails where replaced at some point.It is my understanding all k-cars came with these brackets(for the dual exhaust). While the car is apart I would like to restore it back to orginal.

Does anyone have or know were I can get these?

You will most likely have to make your own unless you have access to a dual exhaust parts car. Just cut a piece of 1/2" pipe and tack in place. When my rear frame rails were replaced we salvaged the originals.

I am starting to think I may have to go that way.I have a friend that restores vintage race cars and he says he can duplicate it but I REALLY wanted orginal ones.

Once the pipe is cut and welded in place it really can't be seen anyway, lots of rusty cars have had these replaced with the 1/2" pipe.
