Just snapped my drivers side axle in half...oops <img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>(One helluva 2-3 shift)So, I am looking for a set or just the drivers side axle.
My Ford parts interchange manual says the description is as follows:
Part number9s) C5OZ4234B (right), C2OZ4235A (left)
Length(s): 30-1/8 (right), 26-5/64 (left, 28 splines)
Usage: 1962-65 Fairlane 1965-66 Mustang with 9in ring gear axle
Will and 8in axle work? The description is the same except for saying it is for a 8 in. I am guessing that the axles I have are for an 8in, that may explain why they broke.
