Anyone know anything about this car? I seem to remember us discusing in here before?? is it too low of a number to be a real GT and have the Pony interior? (748826)interior looks to be Palomino, but can't quite tell what Red it is? Rangoon? Poppy?

Wonder what it will bring on Ebay? wonder who the restorer was? I'd love for them to do mine!

Merv & Pat seem very nice and on the up and up, I have no worries that they can do the job.

They haven't shot me a price yet, Merv said he'd have Pat work up an estimate sheet for me and Email or mail it to me.

OK, Picture this:When its all said and done I could EASILY put the original parts into the bed of my SHORT BED pickup and bring them anywhere as a group, all thats left of the original "K" body.

Again, the only useable metal is the r/f shock tower, r/f frame rail(the r/f frame rail is only a possibility not a given, as Merv can't see it clearly-even with the car up on my trailer)the firewall, and parts of the cowl, thats it! even the convertible unique part in and around and behind the back seat will have to be cut out of a donor CONVERTIBLE!

This to me is almost building a body shell like the new Dynacorn '67-'68 Fastback body, may be I should just wait until Dynacorn folks build the '65-'66 Convertible body.

Last Friday I indeed took my rusty '65 "K" convertible over to Merv, he said it was one of, if not THE worst he'd ever seen!

The car needs absolutely everything EXECPT:r/f shock tower, and r/f frame rail, parts of cowl, and firewall-thats it!! he will have to build a complete new unibody, and do all new outer sheet metal, doors, hood, trunk lid, EVERYTHING!!! So, the only pieces that will be ORIGINAL "K" are what I described above, and if thats not RE-BODYING I don't know what is....he says he gets the local Police dept to wittness him moving "the numbers" from the rusted old fender aprons to the new ones, I'd like everyones opinion now on what to do with this car???? mind you I still have an incredibly solid '65 "A" code body to possibly re-body with.

I know if I give up and sell my "K" that someone will most likely re-body it any way possibly to make a profit on resale not caring nearly as much as I would during this process.

These have been out for a couple of years now and I'm wondering if anyone here has one and if you are happy with it? and have you compaired it with an original? I've been told not to put one in a concours '65 "K" Convertible restoration, wonder why??

I had a nice visit at Classic Creations with Merv Rego yesterday.

I really like him and his attitude towards restoration work.

I am going to take my rusty "K" convertible over to let him see what he thinks of it.

My question is has anyone had work done by Classic Creations, and if so what was the outcome? satisfied?

I think by now everyone has seen the '66 Mustang delivery sedan that they built using a roof from a Volvo wagon, I saw the car in person and it is absolutely breathtaking!!

Well now the car (putting the term "car" loosly)is back on Ebay last bid I saw was $24,800 and is a private auction so there is now way to send a bidder a link to our website and/or the descussion about what they are bidding on, that dealer is sure a big time crook!!

I remember seeing an episode of My Classic car (I think) where Craig Jackson was telling about numbers on a Hemi 'Cuda convertible, and he was showing where and how to look at "Numbers" and such, I don't really know if he is a car guy or not, but its good to see that car is evedentally NOT going through the auction this year--I think its possible that SOMEONE from B-J has been on our site and found out the truth about that bogus car and therefore pulled it from the auction lineup, I was thinking strongly about dropping Craig a note and suggesting that he come here and check out the car for himself-heck-may be someone beat me to it!!

I don't know Kevin, or anyone else at K A R well enough yo ask yhis question, its really none of my business anyway, and I don'y know what I'd gain by knowing who the restorer is, as (again) acording to the statement that the shop ONLY does cars for K A R-just seems strange with all that distance between them.

There is no article, the info is along with the '66 Silver Frost GT Convertible that they are selling and have posted on their site.

    http://www.karmustang.com

Saw something interesting on a description for a car that K A R is selling:First off the '66 Mustang Silver Frost GT Convertible IS NOT finished and yet is being advertised for sale-(thats where the mention of the NC shop comes in) they go on to say that this shop is a dedicated shop only for K A R, anyone know where this shop is or who runs it?? seeme strange to me that a place in Ohio has a place as far away as NC do cars for them???

I wish I had known about your need last weekend as there was a vendor at our local show that had several intakes 2 with C4 numbers and 1 with a C5 number, I am going to the Turkey Run show at Daytona Speedway over the Thanksgiving weekend so if you will tell me exactly what number you want I'll look there for you.
