My company, Ssnake Oyl Products both supplies and restores all kinds of Mustang seat belts. 800-284-7777.
I recently ordered three rear fastback glasses and two windshields, all with different dates from PS glass in Wisconsin. They got it perfect and were even able to get completely clear windshields (no tint band at the top). They etched all of the correct info into the glass with the correct date codes. They combined the shipping on all of them and saved me a bundle.
Very satisfied. Talk to Mike.
I have had several sets that were date matched and had different numbers on the bosses.
I was in Mustang, too and really enjoyed the show. The local club did an outstanding job in putting on the show. It was extremely hot, but they had several golf carts driving around handing out bottle water. Got to judge some of the occasional driven trailered cars. No K's in that group. I did not take mine.
Yes, that is the one.
I know a guy who has an unrestored one. I don't know if it is generally known or he is keeping it a secret. I picked up one of the doors with one finger. It was really strange. It had Twilight Turquoise paint on it.
Dave - Best of luck to you. I hope to see at one of the shows this years.
Thanks, guys for the kind comments. There were about 30 of us that worked on the car. By the way, you can help, too. Just bid high and often at B-J in January. We want to raise a lot of money for a good cause.
The car is extremely nice with leather pony interior, Old Air products HVAC, Kicker Stereo, 302 with aluminum heads and intake and a performance custom carb. It has a German Haartz cloth top that matches the parchment interior.
All 65 K codes are 4 speeds. Not many are GT's. They were sold beginning with the first anniversary of the Mustang in April, 65. GT's were only sold April through July.
Steve - I sent you an email.
The car has been sold to another member of this forum.
I bought the car from the guy who wrecked it and he has a distinct limp and said that he couldn't work or about a year. He wrecked in 2000 and it has been stored since.
I just listed a wrecked 65 K Code fastback on Ebay. It has the correct 9" rear with a Detroit Locker and the original Toploader with the VIN number.
Bo - You are correct. My mistake. It should be 6R09K113XXX.
I have already been told that my engine is from a 66 Shelby. Howard Pardee is attempting to contact the current owner.
Mine is 5R09K113XXX. It has heads dated 5H17 and distributor dated 5HA.
I have a similar motor that I bought with a wrecked Hi Po fastback. The motor was not original to the Mustang, but it was original to a 1966 Shelby. I am in the process of contacting the owner to see if he is interested in recovering his original block, heads and distributor.
I discoverd that it was from a Shelby by contacting Howard Pardee.
