Thanks for the post Wayne. I'll need a tag with the block or manifold. You don't per chance have a tag with your block do you?

Builder11, I've sent you an e-mail, but I am interested in discussing your block with you.

Yes, I guess a date would help here. Jan-March '66. Feb would be ideal.
Anyone have a spare '66 K Mustang block with manifold and tag to sell? Or, just a manifold with tag?

That's where it is. i live about a 35 minute drive North of there on a good day.
When a/c was dealer installed in early hi-pos, I believe the dealers would also issue warranty cards to the owners listing the date installed, VIN #, owner's name. The Feb '87 issue of Mustang Monthly has a great story of Charles Hampton's '66 red/red GT K conv with a photo of this card.

Maybe a coincidence, but the widow maker is located walking distance from the State prison on the other side of the 1-15 freeway! If you knew what to look for you should be able to see it from the plane to the South East of the airport, just a few minutes from landing...assuming you get a window seat.
Very slim picking Mate. I made some calls to bone yeards for you this morning and no one had or could locate a '65 or '66 mustang in the Salt Lake area. I remember several years ago there was a small yard about a 30 minute drive from the SLC airport in a large town called, Ogden that had a yard with nothing but vintage cars. B & R Old Car Parts. Their website, http://www.broldcarparts, indicates they have a '69 coupe now, but that's it. We really have no "honey hole" for classic bone yards I am aware of in SLC vicinity. In the 80's Mustangs could be found abundantly. Hoep your tirp and stay in Salt Lake is still pleasant!!!

Is anyone interested in any particular item out of this kit, rather than the whole thing? I'm interested in the distrubutor, but I can't justify $1,500 just to get a distributor.

I'm looking for a nice original '66 hi-po manifold tag. I know repros are avaialble, but I would rather have the original. Will buy the complete mainifold if someone has a tag they will not seperate from the manifold.

Thanks Charles!
I have an NOS '67 fan blade I believe to be a hi-po blade. Part # C6ZZ-8600-D. It is a 1 piece 4 blade design, unlike the '65 '66 with riveted paddles. In a Fomoco box, but it has "Ford" logos on the paddles, rather than the early "Fomoco" that makes me beleive this was a service replacement part. No dates. Can anyone confirm the application to this blade and what market value is?

I'm hunting for a L/H, R/H , or a pair of early NOS backing plates for 10" rear drum brakes. Also looking for an NOS fine threaded jack.

If the car is 5F08K792638, I had a friend see the car in the early 90's. Can give quite a history of it if it is the same car. Allen Stewart owned the car, and I spoke with him about a month ago about it. If anyone knows if this is the same car, let me know and I can give some insites to this car.

Is there anyone here who may know of an assembly line GT '65 rangoon red hi-po convert with red delux int that exists? A friend of mine and I have searched for decades and have not seen or heard of what may be the "red ghost" yet. We have found 2 cars that were legit red 76B hi-po cars, but the GT items had been added. One is on the K registry. In the 3 or 4 months of production when this combination could have been possible, there had to be at least 1 such car produced.
Thanks for the offer Wally. I'm hoping to trade my NOS pump for another NOS. I'll keep it in mind though.

I've got an extra '66 GT gas cap I can sell. No box, and the back plate is affixed with screws, not rivets. This cap may have been a lunch pail part. Nice NOS part nonetheless. $300 plus shipping. I can send photos, just send me your e-mail address.

I've got an NOS '66 4201 CARbureaTER fuel pump in Fomoco box dated 4/28/67 and am hunting for a similar piece with a date the first half '66. I'll offer this as trade only right now until I've found a replacement.
