I agree with with charles, i just finished my 65 lower cowl with the patch panel and some fabricating, if you have to take the time to drill out 300 spot welds to remove the top section keep going and save as much original metal you can ,date codes, vin stampings,ect,i think you will have a stronger unibody in the end.

Do you know how much you want for the heads.

Anyone remember seeing the 289 high performance banners that were on e-bay a while back ,they were black, white, and orange, about 4 feet by 2 feet i am looking for one .

Thanks for the input i looked very close for an aplication stamping number next to the prefix number 12127 and i am sure there never was one ,i was contemplating using this distributor for donor parts if needed for my 70 BOSS 302 distributor that needs rebuilding and calibration but i would like to I.D. it first.

This is not a hi-po distributor but would like to identify it ,i know its a ford motorcraft reman small block ford 302 distributor .the casting number on the lower shaft case is C9ZF 12131 A ,the casting number next to the motorcraft casting near the top cap hold down clip is 12127.it has the extra lower shaft bushing, dual vacume advance,a ford dura spark pickup, the only date code is 75 with 9 small dots in a circle at the bottom of the dist case below the o ring area which is sept 1975, the dist gear has purple paint on it. thanks for the help in advance.

Check your fuel delivery system, pump,lines,filter,sending unit screen.you may have fuel starvation.

Ihave a 67 mustang day night mirroe with discolored glass and light pitting on the chrome any idea on how to repair the glass .

My June 64.5 coupe has Palomino int and same color headliner ,my 65 fastback has black int/black headliner.

Are a 65-66 mustang dual exhaust hangers and brackets the same as a 67 mustang with dual exhaust.

Is there a resurface reference spec for a 289 cylinder head for how much can be removed , is the foot mark on the ends of the heads the reference mark to go by. does anyone have a depth measurment of the foot mark from a standard or HI-po head that has never been resurfaced, thanks. chuck.

Ivan the closest date code 289 block i have is a 6 L 8
