Friendly FYI... the '65 GT, standard instrument cluster bezel is the same exact piece as the wood grain bezel, except instead of wood grain inserts, there are camera case stick-on inserts. The repro is pretty decent for this piece also.

Both wiper arms are the same length.

I meant Steve Fitzpatrick, here locally. He moved his shop over to the Smithfield area. If you need his phone number, let me know.

Check with Steve F., he has an NOS 22F, but it's the later '68-up style... which is about the best you would ever be able to find anyway. The correct batteries for 65-67 are nearly impossible to find.

Sounds like a seat belt warning light. Is your car a '66? If so, do you have push-button seat belts?
-
Simple... different manufacturers.

Original aluminum water pumps are dated the same way. Year in a circle with dots around the perimeter. Number of dots correlates to month of the year.

A heater was standard equipment for '65, but it was optional to delete it for a small credit.

How much for the 5C31 block? Assume it is a std. 289?

quote:

did the '65 K kars use a grommet
in the firewall heater hose holes?
also, was there one for the
manual choke cable?

There was no grommet used, just strip caulking.

-Set of 4 ’66 Shelby 10 spokes, 14x6.5
-California Pony Car reproductions
-Set of 4 CS center caps
-Set of 20 chrome lug nuts
Retail through Branda for these is $1354. Sell for $1200, everything is brand new in packaging, never installed. Shipping would be around $15-20/box.

I'm glad it's going to a friend. Don't intend to do a full resto, but it should be a super nice driver... kind of what I planned to do with it.

The K fastback has been sold. A friend of mine in Germany decided he had to have it. I'll be helping him get it painted and back together, maybe sometime this summer. Thanks to those that expressed interest.

Are both styles available?

No, just the outer lock style.

For whatever it's worth, the Jan '65 and Jan '66 single year master parts catalogs show the exact same u-joint and drive shaft application for 4 speed hi-po's.
-
What year and approximate build date? Makes a difference.

Any of the hoses I have seen like that had a really faint stripe. Probably ought to tone those down on yours, or like Jeff says, you'll be "that guy" in this case, the one with the yellow stripe radiator hose!

Believe it was posted on the concours forum, a fella in Germany did them.
