This used balancer SOLD for $525.69 by eBay seller "ivan 1973".

    DESCRIPTION:

Up for auction is a harmonic balancer / vibration dampener for a 1965 K-code High Performance 289. This was original equipment on a 271 horsepower engine. The date code is stamped A5 and the casting number on the front is C5OE A. There is also an X stamped into the outer ring near the 12 degree mark. The engine originally was assembled for a 1965 Mustang that was built on February 15, 1965 in San Jose California. Engine block serial #5R07K186837. The piece is in very good shape except for some minor dings near the front hub and some pitting on the outer ring that will not affect function. There are some small cracks visible in the rubber on the back side. The threads are flawless and original. For a used part this age, it is in very nice shape.

This set of C3OE HiPo heads SOLD for $995.00 by eBay seller "mustangmasters428".

    DESCRIPTION:

Here we have a set of Ford 289 High Performance heads recently brought to us from one of our recent buyouts. The 289 HiPo motor was the best Ford had to offer in the earlier model Shelby Mustangs and Fairlaines. The Shelby GT 350 and all K model Mustangs as well as HiPo Fairlanes all used these 271 HP cylinder heads.

All the HiPo characteristics are present as seen in the photos. You can clearly see the recessed valve saddles, and of course factory screw in studs. They are both C3OE and have 289 castings one with the 19 and the other with 21 on the top corners. Pictures clearly show casting numbers and both date codes are 3 H 15 for those that are in need of this information. These heads are clean castings, and show no signs of ever coming apart or combustion chamber damage. We see no signs of cracks, welds, or other damage.

The footprint (recessed area on bottom of the head to indicate planing or modifications) is clear and noticably not cut away from use or abuse. The original valves are not damaged or sunk in, and the valve springs are intact. A complete set of heads as removed from a HiPo 289 motor, these are just what you are after - unmolested, unmodified survivors. Why not bring that Mustang, Shelby, Fairlaine, or any other Ford product with a 289, to a whole new level of performance and strength with these HiPo heads?

    Another block with thick caps

Oh boy, here we go again...Somebody's getting ripped off on the internet again. Those caps are clearly Mexican "replacements", and it's a real shame to see a regular 289 block getting way more $$$$ than it could ever be worth. Can you say: "fraud"?

Mike has been doing car radios for a long time, and has earned his reputation by doing it right. Several years ago, I had him repair a rare '65 Comet AM-FM that I used to have, and his work was excellent. Since he lives about 10-15 miles from me, he encouraged me to drop my radio off at his house. He showed me around, and I was boggled at the vast collection of radios and parts he has.

This one was SOLD for a very impressive $515.00 by eBay seller "jone67".

    DESCRIPTION:

Here is an original FoMoCo script 289 High Performance dual point distributor. The date is 4LE which would be 5th week of November 1964. This would be perfect for that 1965 GT 350 or K code Mustang. It is in great used shape except that someone spent a lot of time polishing the aluminum housing. It could be bead blasted and restored to look as original. It looks like the original casting # on the housing on the shaft portion of the housing may have been polished out, as it is not there. All numbers on the upper portion are there and clearly visible. The numbers are as follows: C5OF-12127-E.

I went and looked at this car a couple of months ago. It's a nice "go to the burger shop on a Sat night" car, but its by no means a show car. Nor worth near 40K (more like 25-30)

I agree...I saw this car several years ago, and it it was no better then. It shows up for sale over and over again. Go figure.

This FoMoCo distributor SOLD for $204.00 by seller "sc93cobra".

    DESCRIPTION:

I bought this years ago from a friend. He pulled it out of an orginal hipo 289 in a Mustang or Fairlane (he can't remember). It is complete with new Blue Points I put in it and a new Blue Point Condenser. It's in great shape and he said he ran it for a small time in a small block he had (back in the 70s). Since I've had it it has set on a shelf in the garage and it's time to let it go. There is a small little piece of casting missing out of it where the pins that hold the hold down pieces go but does not affect it's usablity at all. You can see it in one of the pictures. It moves freely and seems to be in good working order. The numbers on it are C50F 12127 E and underneath that it has stamped 4 MA and of course has the FoMoCo next to it all.
