I am not giving up, just weighing my options...I have no idea at this point what used Mustang parts dealers to call & ask...

Finding the parts needed to do a quality and authentic restoration is what makes the hobby interesting as well as challenging. Swap meets are the traditional place to look, along with Hemming's Motor News. The ever-popular eBay is resource with a search engine that works well. There are plenty of "Mustang restoration specialists" who advertise in the usual places. Some of them also sell parts to help supplement their income. You might also try contacting radiator shops to see if they can help you.

The first listing in October received numerous bids up to $26,100 with the seller's reserve not met. The last three relistings have not generated any bids...The opening bid is set way too high at $36,495.00, and will likely end with a no sale again.

The directions for posting pictures is explained in the site "FAQ" section. For your convenience, click here for the link.

To sumarize, because this site is hosted via a third party, we are not allowed to let users attach files, ie: pictures, directly to any posts. This is the case with most other online forums similar to this one. However, you may "hot link" to images using the image button on the post form, or by adding the image tags directly to the message field of your post. But first, you will have to upload your images to webspace provided by your ISP, or use a "free space" site, which is available from any number of online picture hosting services.

Gene, Yours is actually the first one in the second row. The one that you thought was yours actually belongs to Bob Gaines.

Amazing stuff, Fred...At first, I guessed mine was in the second row. Then, the only question was: second row from the top, or second row from the bottom... It's great to see a picture of so many pumps. Just think of all the high revving horsepower they will feed!

Of course the length of the resonator pipe determines where the tips will be so you have have to modify that in order to get the correct length of trumpet exiting the valance panel. Getting a proper fit and look on these is not always an easy task!

    Yes indeed!

WOW 100% Manual transmission (my Favorite)

    But kind of surprised me..

It shouldn't really come as any surprise around here. The original HiPo 289 car, the 1963 Fairlane, only had a 3 or 4 speed manual transmission. The HiPo Mustangs didn't offer the automatic until 1966, and the overwhelming majority of '66 and '67 K code Mustangs were ordered with a 4 speed...

NOS choke cables from Ford came as all seperate pieces.

...I have communicated with Ted quite extensively over the past few years in his endeavor to collect as many NOS parts for his car as possible.

I thought he should have known better on this choke cable. Hopefully the buyer will realize what they bought.

    Ouch! :(

...she was begging me to open her up a little, so I did. The on-ramp is always a nice place for a little fun, so down the hammer, through the gears, and before I was fully on the HWY, I was doing close to 80, and she felt like she was only getting started! Oh boy, is a K code fun!

    Couldn't agree more ;)

I really never watched the original series because of the brand that the car was (LOL)

I never had time to watch it when it was first run on TV. The new show (and car) offers more appeal and interest to Mustang fans...I've never seen the show, but saw some pictures of the new TV car.

These last mounts do not have the welded together steel plates that mount the rest of the mount to the cast iron frame bracket.

It is hard for me to believe that out of 70 plus views that no one has any experiance in purchasing reproduction styled steel wheels, I almost feel as I have asked or done something wrong...

Don't feel you've asked something wrong. It's a relevant question. Remember, this is a fairly small board, and even with 100 views, it's not a good bet that more than just a few have recently purchased S/S wheels and can comment on the specific details about them. (You might also try posting this question on the VMF site where there is a much greater base to tap into.)

There have been two replies here within 48 hours. Let's wait and see if any more can help out with this question. We've also discussed this topic here in the past...
