    Hi Pala.

Just saw the latest Unique Cars magazine here in Oz. Mustangs Of Melbourne have a 66 GT K Fastback being shipped to them at the moment. I have no idea on details, price or if it's an auto.

Ask for Steve Lond, the number is 03 9761 8308.

    Hi all.

Just closing this thread and letting you all know my dad and I put the console in yesterday. I followed the advice given and took out both the seats. Everything went smoothly with no problems whatsoever except we were doing the job in 100 degrees F temperature. But it's done and looks fantastic.

    Thanks for all your help.

    Regards,

    René

    Hi Mike.

Did you do this through the VIN search part of the website? Did the email bounce back from the Kontact Us area as well?

    Do you have cookies enabled?

That's all I can think of. Not sure if the administrators are away over Christmas.

    Hope this is of help.

I can send you his address /contact if you want. I do recommend that the wheel does not have any cracks.

    Hi Steve.

The address/contact would be great, also a website if possible. Are you saying if my wheel is already cracked then he wouldn't be able to help?

    Thanks for that.

    René

    Hiya Steve.

Best wishes from South Australia. Sounds like you've had a great history of Mustangs. Great pics, that's a fantastic looking K.

What have you done with your steering wheel? It looks fantastic, like real wood. Mine is due to be fixed. Yours looks thicker than mine does. Did you have it done here? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    René

My initial thought was to keep it original, then I got to thinking, as long as you keep the original door tag on it wouldn't be that big a deal. I'm not a huge fan of Springtime Yellow, but then it's great to find K's that are not the run of the mill red. You have to live with the colour, go for what you really like.

    Have fun.

Happy New Year to you all.

It is a shame that the web site for this Kar does not have this same description.

It's more than a shame, I find it unethical. I'm sure the seller would be honest to a potential buyer who only saw the car via their non-ebay website.

I'm also sure the seller wouldn't tell a potential buyer that they only paid $44K for it =O

According to the auction site, it was sold for $44,250...

Nice mark up, just a lazy $21K.

Here's the spiel from the sellers non ebay website:

Doesn't seem to mention the non original block.

Unfortunately I don't own a Shelby Mustang (please don't sue me for using the "S" word Carroll). I think what Carroll is up to is despicable. He has no right to any of the work that SAAC has compiled over the years. The only reason the word Shelby appears in the club is because that's the name of the car.

If anyone is profiteering off the Shelby name it's Carroll Shelby and Ford.

I think the reason the old cars are held in such high regard can be attributed to clubs such as SAAC. If it wasn't for SAAC, there may not have been a 2006 GT500 and all the subsequent variations.

Give it a rest Carroll, be grateful for SAAC, their the one's who have led you to where you are today.

Karma is a wonderful thing, what you give you will receive in return.

I hate people like this. I wouldn't care who's name is on the car, for all I care it could be a Ralph GT500.
