    Hi Tony,

I looked for a 67 K fastback for nearly 2 years. I wanted one with deluxe trim and with colour, preferably matching numbers or at least correct K code driveline.

Looked and waited, looked and waited. The one that I ended up with has standard trim, acapulco blue. So I settled on that. Keep looking something may pop up.

    Cheers

How is that wonderful kar of yours going anyway Rohan?

<img src=images/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle> I am very glad to be a part of the forum and look forward to learning more and more about my new (to me) 5F07K. This is my second K Kar, the first was a 66 Fastback and I had it for about 4 years and regrefully parted with it about 3 years ago. May 65 is Vintage Burgandy with a white vinyl top and black standard interior. Options include rally pac (clock does not work), console, style steel wheels, 4 speed toploader. The Kar is a blast to drive and I am really enjoying driving a K again. Good to be bak!<img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

    Welcome along Jack.

This is definitely the place to be to learn about these magnificent machines. Don't forget to post some pics up.

    Regards,

Welcome aboard Robert. I take exception to the Old guy tag. I'm heading in that direction, but I refuse to be old Have a look on the forum, there was a topic floating around the last couple of weeks regarding the tyres. Seat belts have also been a topic around here, have a look under Research or Restoration. For all the old topics, on the home page on the far right you will see two yellow folder icons. The one on the furthest right with the A in it is an archive of all previous posts, or you can type in seat belts in the search area and see what comes up.

There's a lot of clever and helpful people in here, so enjoy the ride.

    Regards,

    René

I'm running on Yokohama Avid Touring Whitewalls 195 75 R14s on 6" wide SSW's. I like the look, although the nose is a little to high. The ride is actually quite good I had 175 on before and the difference is very noticeable.

Rene ,would the Tasmanian K code be considered a K-devil

    <hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana" size=2 id=quote>

    Well it's definitely got the growl, so I'd say you're spot on Chuck <img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Thanks for your wishes Bo. Unfortunately it looks like Victoria will be having 100+ temps late next week. I can only hope and pray that things don't get worse. Hanging's too good for these folk. Let them feel the pain and suffering they've inflicted on the people and the wildlife that have perished by their actions. Did somebody mention BBQ?? These people don't deserve to be in society, we definitely don't need them.

It's just one heart wrenching story after another. Watching the news is incredibly difficult. Seeing all the destruction and loss of life is incomprehensible.

My thoughts and prayers are with all those effected by this tragedy.

Hi Guys, does anybody else own a RHD K code car? My Kar was converted to RHD before I got it. Is it the only one like it?

    Thanks Zed

    Hey Eddie.

There's a guy in Tasmania that has a RHD K. Also, I think there are a few in NSW and Queensland as well.

This is probably the most frequent question asked around here. You can read about "how to do it" if you click on the links below:

I just discovered this website the other day and was curious as to how much my dad's 1967 Fastback GTA K is potentially worth. It's in mint condition basically, all original and the paint is near flawless. My dad was thinking close to $35,000 with it being an original K car that is a GTA. What do you guys think?

    <hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana" size=2 id=quote>

    Welcome aboard Lefty.

It would have to be worth more than that. I'm not sure how the current climate is effecting the prices, but surely this would be an at least $45K car??

It's a great show. Last night they went from San Francisco to the Bonneville salt race track in a Corvette ZR1, Cadillac CTS-V and a Dodge Challenger. They actually had to buy the Challenger because Dodge wouldn't give them one due to them always saying how bad their cars are. Long story short, they liked all the cars.

We had an Australian version of Top Gear which I didn't find good at all. The chemistry between the 3 Brits is what makes the show work, well besides all the cars of course.

    René

I'm confused on this car. Here's the first ans last Q & A from the auction at the bottom of the page:

    <BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>

Q: Hello, Does the block have the vin. stamped on the side. Original buck tag ?? Thanks, John Jan-04-09

A: HI JOHN NO BUCK TAG NEVER HAD ONE. NO VIN ON THE BLOCK. THE EXTRA BLOCK HAS A K CODE VIN FROM A 65 K CODE CAR. THANKS FRED 800 580 9299

Q: DOES THIS CAR HAVE THE ORIGNAL K CODE MOTOR? CAN YOU POST SOME PICTURES OF THE MOTOR AND UNDERNEATH THE CAR? SINCE THIS CAR IS A 2 OWNER IS THE 67K MILES ACTURAL? THANKS Dec-25-08

A: hi Thanks for the interest in our Mustang. yes I do have the original motor. Yes I did. Yes I have a signed odo statement representing the miles as authentic. This is sweet car. Make me a resonable offer and own a Great car! Thanks Fred 80 580 9299<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana" size=2 id=quote>

The first answer says he doesn't have the original motor, he has a 65 block with a VIN on it. The next answer says he has the original block. It either does or doesn't, seems like a hedged bet.

I have a stamp on the tranny. I haven't found one on the motor yet, but I haven't scrapped the paint away to really have a look.

    I almost posted a pic of the tranny until I saw the date <img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

This Kar was finally sold for $19,100 when the seller listed it at no reserve. It had always been listed at $30,000 and was not moving. The seller now knows for sure where the market is on this Kar.

Wow, that's quite a big gap. I gather with the current economic times the market is really taking a beating. I guess it's probably the best time to buy although anyone would only sell if they really needed to.
