    Not all Hipo 289 rods have the piston oiler that you mention. Originally, the Hipo 289 rods were press fit to the pin. The conversion of these rods to full floating has already been done and cannot be undone. These are also steel to steel floaters, which are less expensive to do compared to ones that are done with bushings. My issue with rods that were converted is that the retainer grooves for the pin retainers need to be machined in the pistons if they do not have those grooves. I have seen too many piston pin retainers come loose and score the cylinder. Press fit pins can sometimes move as well but in my observations, not that often. Therefore all of the Hipo 289 rods that I stock are press fit. I have ones that I purchased in error that were floated but I won't use them. Every once in a while someone will need one or more of these floated rods. The big ends of these rods have been maxed out on the balance weights. . I am sure my comments here may be controversial, but these are all lessons that have all been bought and paid for with experience. Your milage may vary.

    Offering as a combination set. 289 HiPo NOS C3OZ-6306-A crankshaft sprocket with roll pin and NOS C3OZ-6A360-A HiPo counterweight, commonly call "hatchet". Box and envelope included. Never used, just has shelf wear. What you see is what you get. These have not been media blasted or wire wheeled. They are natural as they came out of the packing. I did install the roll pin in the sprocket.
