looking for k code fastback

Hi all. I have been regretting selling my '70 Boss302 4 years ago, and now I'm in a position to put a car back in the garage. I like the look of the 65/66 fastbacks, and the K code is the way I want to go. At this point I'm fact finding, and I have two questions that I'm hoping you can help me with. First and foremost, pricing is all over the map. I'm interested in a nice car, let's call it a #2 car but with the original drivetrain. Can you give me some guidance as to what a reasonable range would be? Second, does the 65 or 66 K code have a vin stamping on it to "prove" (I know they can be restamped, but...) that it is original to the car? I've seen a couple of conflicting bits of info on this, so I figured you're the guys to ask. Thanks a bunch. I'm hoping I can find a nice car and be part of the action going forward. Kevin
