    Hi All,

My '65 Hi-Po's toploader is a little noisy. After inspecting the casing it would seem that at some stage there has been a leak. I was wanting to tap into the wealth of knowledge on the eKschange to try and find out what's the best oil to put in there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi Everyone,

I am trying to change my spark plugs for the first time but I'm having some trouble. I am unable to get my spark plug socket wrench head onto spark plugs in cylinders 3 and 8. It seems to be hitting something, like the exhaust heads. Has anyone else come across this problem before? Everything is 100% original.

Any help would be greatly apreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi All,

I am wanting to buy <i>The High Performance Mustang</i>, 4th Ed by Tony Gregory, but wanted to know how recent this edition is. Is there a 5th Ed. coming soon? The reason I ask is the book contains The 289 High Performance Mustang Registry (1,490 Kars), but the latest registry count is now 1727. So I'm not sure how old it is.

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks

    Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone has got some more detailed information on engine specifications for the Hi-Po. I'm after something beyond the basic 271hp @ 600rphm and 312ftlb @ 3400rpm, like power and torque curves.

Also would anyone have an opinion on what the maximum revs I should keep under on my engine now? It has only had the one engine rebuild (back in '83) but has been very well looked after (although it hasn't been driven much in recent years). It still runs really well and has a lot of grunt.

    Hi everyone.

At the start of this year I bought a 65 K-code. One of the first things I checked upon purchase was the oil. According to the dip stick it was full. Last weekend I took it for a drive, during which my oil gauge stopped working properly. It kept fluctuating off the scale in both directions (I also noted that temperature gauge also played up but only for a brief moment). I immediately checked the oil levels myself to make sure only to find that it was down to (again according to the dip stick) low. After letting it sit for a day it was still low.

I would have only done about 500 miles in the half a year I have owned it. There are no pools of oil on the ground where I store the car, so I'm assuming the car is using oil (although when running there is no black smoke).

Have any of you come across this before? Also, I am going to use this as an excuse to do an oil change and was wondering if anyone out there had recommendations on what the best oil (and filter) is to use for the Hi-Po. The car lives in the warm climate of Brisbane, Australia (which is roughly the same as Miami, Florida).

    Hey all,

I just wanted to share my news. This morning I unloaded my 1965 GT K-code manual coupe. I would also like to thank the people on the eKschange who told me about the car. I know some of you Americans don't like your cars going overseas but rest assured I will take great care of it and won't be changing a thing so it can return home one day.

I am wanting to buy a matching numbers GT K-code manual hardtop (either coupe or fastback). My aim is to own an original restored Hi-Po. As suck I don't mind if it has already been restored or is in need of restoration. Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

P.S. I am aware of the rarity of the car
