    I need at least one but can use two of the cam gear spacer for the early 289 spacer for the cam sprocket for camshaft end play. i believe the original part number is C3OZ6265A and are 3/8'' thick.   • HCC AX 4JOIC gear box

    1965 hipo steering gear box i have for sale. Found my other one won,t need this one. Its dirty but in great condition. I have it listed on ebay under hipo parts. It ends today and I will not relist it. So if you need one contact me. This unit is an original unit and the tag is still on the unit.     Thanks for the quote! I was not saying the Carrol Shelby was saying that he excepts any cars as originals. But he does except them for what they are REBUILT or RESTORED vehicles custom or built to original specs. I believe a few years ago Carrol Shelby himself had left over titles and or vin numbers for 10 1966 Mustang convertables and was going to build them with new drivelines and sell them. I don't know if he ever finished the cars. Some one on this site may remeber better about the whole deal he was going thru with Ford. I do agree if you are going to build a car with a K vin you should put it together as close to original as possible for that vin number. Things we can NOT from stopping is TAXES and RUST!!! I know of three 1967 Shelby Mustang 500 cars that have been rebodied because the rust left nothing to use of the body. The cars where done by the best restores in the business. Ever detail was put into these cars. They where probly better than original. The cars all came off the same assembly line. How many of you have had to replace the rear frame rails and used after market units? Or installed new floor pans? Or any other body part or drive line part? YOUR CAR IS NOT ORIGINAL even using NOS PARTS!!!!! Or if you painted your car! So we need to get off the bad wagon and keep it FUN! Just my 2 cents!

    I would have to guess that most of you guys on this site have NOT watched Barret Jackson Auctions? The cars and trucks that have been cloned and vin's changed are documented and still bring great big money because its a HIGH PERFORMANCE car. People want them at any cost. And believe me alot of them have been totaly or partly rebodied. The buyers don't care. Its funny that so few make a big deal of it when Carrol Shelby himself signed a rebodied Shelby at the auction for a NEW owner! And he has signed many other cars and parts. And if for second you think SAAC Shelby people is stopping anyone from reboding a Shelby your heart may stop at anytime. Instead of trying to ban the practice lets set guide lines to track this practice. I think we should stamp next to the vin numbers RB with a date. You will never stop it so lets help control it. The guys doing it for profit are the Classic Car Dealers using small shops. Like making a GT out of a early 1965 Fastback K car and claiming its original. Just my 2 cents and we need to stop hammering people when they come to this site for help and questions! Thanks ! Ron

    Back in the early seventies in the state of ILLINIOS I worked for a Body Shop . The shop bought wrecked cars from a auction. We would take two cars and cut the bodys apart and put the two good halfs and put them together. They where sold to everyone or back at the auction. This created a problem? Most of the cars we did was PERFORMANCE CARS! The thief rate went way up. So the insurance companys lobbyed for new laws. All vehicles now had a salvage title. And the only way to change the title was to have the state inspect the vehicle after it was rebuilt with ALL paper work present before it got a clear title from the state. It also came with a STATE OF ILLINIOS Tag put on the car by the State OF ILL. Police. You had to prove that ALL the parts of the car was legal not stollen. You can not put a car with a salvage title on the road in ILLINIOS! You can still have a car restored if it is at least 25 years old with out any problems. But the only shops doing this are doing major restoration on these cars and exceeds the value of the vehicle. They are being restored far better than original at a BIG PRICE! So to have a K Fastback restored by these shops would cost around $100,000 plus to restore. Its the little shops/do it your self shops you have to watch. Most TOP NOTCH SHOPS document there cars very good. Thats how that get paid. If its not documented do not buy it. I myself believe that if a car is restored /rebuilt with lots of care and documenting everything you have done its ok. But you must desclose it! ITS NOT ORIGINAL! Good luck finding an original K.Do your homework before buying. Ron

  • 1965 K control arms

    I have the original lower control arms off my 1965 Mustang K Fastback for sale I found them in another box of parts I saved. They are in great condition. The balljoints and boots are in great shape. The bushings have some cracks. They are on ebay 190109455187. They have the original rivets also. Never been touched. I will sell to one of you guys and end the auction. Thanks! Ron

  • Replacement Pistons

    The part number you want is L-2482 TRW number which Sealed Power owns. I have one on ebay for sale check it out. Just search for sellers at the top bar advanced search. mr.ford-4969 is my seller name. The piston is flat top and has four eyebrows. Ron

  • Carter 4201S Fuel pump

    Dave you may have found a way to get Carter fuel pumps rebuilt. Someone should check with Fedral Moguel and see if there is a rebuilder in Canada. And maybe this pump was an original built or a rebuilt in Canada for Mustangs built in Canada in 1965/1966. Because I have seen older Mustangs In the USA that came from Canada. Does anyone have any info??? It would be worth a check.
