That's just wrong.
How are you coping with the loss ?

From the pics that looks like a great buy

$33,400 That's the most I have seen a coupe sell for.
Maybe that is a good omen for future values.

Fred,
He states in the description that he added the GT items and the disc brakes.
Nice Kar but I can't imagine the reserve being much higher

Sold for 60,000
Had two live bidders and might have sold for a few more dollars if not for a quick hammer.

Really tuff without seeing engine.Desirable color, decent time slot. B.J.s attracts alot of nuts with cash and that would make a great present for some rich guys girl.Chicks always dig Mustang ragtops no matter what show I am at. Assuming all is what it should be under the hood I am going with $61,000 .

And Jeff, would you help us with those things you understand should NOT be there? Thanks.

You realize that by establishing a list publicly, your providing the information needed for person who wishes to fake one. Kind of like providing all the details we use to determine a rebodied or faked Shelby.
Of course the really good ones already know all or most. Its the backyard guys that this would really help
Just a thought
Hmmm, I thought the same a while after my earlier post, maybe it would be a mistake to make the info too readily available.
I have been trying to prove mine is not, just for my own peace of mind.
I have been thinking this way lately also.
Recently I posted some Pics of the crush tubes on VMF.About an hour later I pulled the pics for this reason.
I do not have any paper work stating my car was a GT but all the signs and parts are there along with the word of a very trustworthy P.O. but lately I have been wondering If it would be better to have such a highly optioned non-GT.

The casting numbers on my toploader are
C5AR-7008-D W-1 K21
8 might be a 6 but not wearing glasses
Questions;
Is K21 the build date ? If not what is?
And if it is would that be Oct 21,1965

Car still seems to be around and still in Iowa.
It is in the registry.
Probably not on the road that's why your friends search came up with nothing.

Hey Tony
Car looks beautiful. If that's the car you told me about I think you did very well. Good luck with it
As far as the rally pac I believe you could get in either color but I am no expert and would wait for someone else to chime in.

I did not read or know about the deleted post until just now.
Without reading it I don't know how bad things got.
And agree that talking negative about someone usually gets out of hand and personal which can only do harm.
That being said I also think if someone is asking for a reference for some future work, a negative experience can aid in helping that person decide on which direction to go.
Sometimes a negative can be a positive.Just keep it civil.

"Engine is a custom built 289 (see pictures). Runs stronger than the original Hi-Po"
I guess that means not original motor.
