Congratulations Dave
Your first mustang and it is a K code Fastback. Doesn't get much better than that.
Color ?
As far as the vin I see no harm in posting it if you want.

I will be painting my 64 Econoline in the near future and Honey Gold is my choice as of now but I really like the way that FB looks.Any chance of getting your recipe on that color so I can get a sample made?

I just found an NOS pair of these #C5ZZ-6513208-D in my garage.Thought they went to my 66 Kar build date NOV 65.Are they correct for my car if not what do I need to find ?

This Kar is the perfect example of the donor car argument.Which I don't agree with but understand both sides.
Is there a point when a car is too far gone?
This kar may be at that point.

Quote from MBW65K
Okay... cool. It would be nice if someday it could say "last seen in BC", but no worries. Just let us all know when it's all working again.
Thanks... I'm sute I'm not alone when I say "Thanks for all the efforts in keeping the registry and this web site operational."
Cheers...
I hear you mine has been stuck in PA for a number of years now.For a while (though not out of the woods yet) I was thinking it might skip NY altogether and end up somewere else. So at this point knowing it's here is good enough for me.

The last 12"-18" or so of my rear frame rails was destroyed due to rust.
My intention was to only replace the 12"-18",leaving as much of the original frame rail .But I am starting to second guess myself
What is the general wisdom on this ?
Replace only what is needed and have a seem ?
Or replace the whole frame rail or enough of it so the seem is hidden ?
Also is dynacorn the place to go for rails ?
Thanks in advance for your help on this.

Steve,
Kar looks Great. That has always been one, if not my favorite color on a Mustang.

Hey Tony,
I am sure Charles will chime in but here is his build blog for the 65 K convertible he is doing now. Some good stuff.

I went with the alloy products harness from NPD also.Have not installed it yet but it looks great.
You may also want to contact Randy Jacobson (aka Midlife on other forums)

From what I hear he does a great job and can save you some money to.Had I known about him before I might have inquired with him first.

I guess he is serious about selling it this time
he lowered the reserve price to US $3,751.00 .1 dollar over high bid with 2hrs to go

I guess I can kiss that original fuel pump idea away.
At least at these prices

I am further out on the Island (35 miles) but if he takes it to a cruise night or show I will see it as I go to most. Maybe he will join the local mustang club. Would love to see the kar in person.

That is my neck of the woods. Know what town ? I will have to ask around and keep my eyes open at the shows. So far I have seen only one K car on the Island and he was from Connecticut.
