Can anyone tell me if Ditzler paint is available and if so where? I'm looking for DAR-13358 enamel for my engine.
Thanks for your help, Gary

Quote from marvGary, the answer to your question is that Tony's book is correct and you have the right Pistons.
Thanks Marv.... I was sure that it was. I just wanted Bob to think about his statement and correct it so future readers know the correct piston to buy and that Tony's book is correct.

QuoteYou don't want the L-2482F piston as that's the wrong piston for 289.That piston is for a 302 and the wrist pin location is wrong and rod center line is different on the 302.
Bob,
So the info on page 12 of Tony's book is wrong?
Thanks,
Gary
Thanks Ron.
Gary
Welome Keith to the best site I know of for information on our beloved K codes. I don't know of a body for your drive train but have seen them on ebay from time to time without engines and more often with a regular 289 or 302.
Hope this helps

I need a set of .30 over pistons for a HIPO engine. Anyone know where the best place is to purchase them?
Thanks for your help,
Gary
Quote from 66gtkExcept that I have all the electrical harnesses and accessories already off the car! Thanks for the tip, though. Any other thoughts?
Troy, I have always used a very strong impact wrench to remove them from my 302 engines. I have never removed one from a 289 but it should be the same.
Hope this helps,
Gary
Thanks Dave. I contacted Crane Cams in Daytona Beach, Fl and was told they did not put any ID mark on the heads. If anyone has a set of these heads and can add some info to this I would appreciate it.
Gary
Quote from dunc289which heads aare you talking about?
Duncan, all I know is they were 289 HIPO heads apparently purchased from Ford by Crane Cams. They took the heads and did a port and polish job on them and installed over sized valves.
This is a link to a set that sold on ebay with pictures.

Thanks for your help, Gary
Can someone tell me if these heads had any marks showing they were re-worked by Crane? If so, and you have a picture of the markings I would greatly appreciate it. Any help greatly appreciated.
Gary
Can anyone tell me what this number means? C50E It is on a K code head with the raised 21 in the corner. The other head has C72E with the raised 20 in the corner. Both heads have the spring seats cast in the head and screwin rocker studs. I'm guessing it is a date code but not sure. Any help would be appreciated.
Gary
On edit: I think I have figured this out thanks to a post by RacCol. These are crane fireball heads.
Hello All.... I have a set of C36 heads that I am taking to the machine shop tomorrow to have them rebuilt. I would like to find someone that would like to trade a set of 4F or 4G heads in like condition. Please let me know if interested.
Gary
I have a 289 Hipo block that with a casting date of 4H20 and an assembly date of 4H28. That is not much time and was wondering if anyone has seen this quick of an assembly date after casting?
Gary
Thanks Ken but I got the intake I needed. I will check the dates on some other intakes I have to see if they will work for you.
Gary
Bob, I bought mine for CJ Pony. Don't remember the price but it wasn't that expensive. I think there were two that went under the hood. You should also check NPD, I think they carry all the wiring harnesses.

Hello Frank, I have a four post Ben Pack and I really like it. I have a 1200 sq ft. detached garage for my cars and I too would like to get some ideas on how to set things up.
Gary
Really looks great Dave. Nice job!

I need a 2.36" fan spacer and bolts for a 1966 or where I can buy one.
Thanks, Gary
Is that the correct fuel pump or should it have a button top? Also, the engine paint looks too light to me, someone please correct me if I am wrong.
Have to admit it is a nice looking car. Whether it is all correct or not I don't know.
