Do you still have any Fomoco distributors and what dates?

Looks like a nice car to me, but there are many more knowledgeable people here yet to here from. I bought a Hertz car from Forristalls years ago. The deal went very smoothly.
You can change date codes and part numbers with epoxy. Vette restorers have been doing it for years.
Larry
I painted the top of my petronix yellow, But I am to cheap to buy a repo.
I had the engine in my 66 balanced with out one. That way I could use a regular timimg chain. If you are dead set on having one I will let you have mine for $50. If I can find it.

Quote from 64.5 07KCondoms?......the passenger seat must be "full!"
Condoms in the trunk won't help with a full pass. seat. Besides if the wife finds them in the tool box you lose deniablty. Keep them under the pass seat. They are alot handier there. Then you can blame them on the past owners if caught.
It might not be a bad idea to keep a spare fuel pump. I have had two go bad in the 12 years I have owned my 65.
Quote from kgtmanPersonally, I wouldn't put a 42 year old tire on anything I was going to drive, no matter how good they look. Now, if you wanted to put them on a car in a museum, that's another story.
Just my humble opinion.
Tom
I agree whole heartly. If I felt safe driving with them I would put them on my 63 K code. They would look great with the original paint. Since all my cars are drivers I use modern radials on them. These tires would only work on a car that is a trailer queen that need date coded originals.
Larry
Thanks that is good to know. Are they worth anything?
Test light, elec. tape, wire.
Larry
Were these used on early Mustangs. I recently found a set that were pulled off a 65 Comet with 6k miles on it. They are in exc. condition.

I have a friend who has a 66 KGT koupe. Ever since he bought the car he has stated that it was built in Dec. 66. I have repeatedly corrected him and said it was built in Dec. 65. Today he called and wanted to know if I thought he could get a Marti Report since his car was built in the 67 model year. Here is the info on his kar.
VIN# 6R07K142508
BODY COLOR TRIM DATE DSO AXLE TRANS

Tage on the seats and the reason he thinks it was built on Dec. 66

Thanks for any help. He can be so hard headed. How would I register it in the K code registry for him. He dosen't have a computer.
Also I just found out that a 65 A code fastback I bought from him 12 years ago has had a fender replaced. How much do you think he owes me for diminished value?
Larry
Quote from SixT5HiPoI wonder how many other of our members cars have also been featured?
3 times for me . My K code was featured in Legendary Fords. Click on the link in my sig. Jan. 95 Mustang Monthly, I had my 69 GT 350 convertible featured. Sadly had to sell it due to divorce
.
July 04 Mustang Monthly featured my 69 scj coupe ![]()

You have to start some where. My first apperance in MM was a shot from the top of the show hotel at the Mid-America Shelby Meet. If I hadn't known where we were parked, the blue blob in the photo would have been meaningless.
Congratulations
Larry
My 66 Shelby has Fomoco on its shocks
Quote from MilpitasYou Hi-Jackers!! hehehehe
Now my feeling are hurt.
Steve S7MS is the correct part # for a 67 GT 350. They are hard to find. I had a 67 350 years ago that was missing the intake. I looked long and hard for a S7MS before settling for a S2MS. I will send you a email before we get charged for hijacking.
Larry
Steve I pulled mine out of the attic and took a few photos. My computer on camera have stopped talking to each other
. It is a S2MS anyway. I have never seen or heard of a S7MS repop. So if you find a S7MS expect to pay dearly for it.
Larry
I would go with the Kirkham. I have wanted one ever since I read about them. A friend of mine owned a CSX 4000 dealership, Texas Cobras, I never could get excited about these cars being real Shelbys. Seams like you are paying alot for the name without the history. The 66 would be alot of fun if the price was right.
Larry
Quote from StevePThat leaves your attic. You got one for sale?
stevep
Not really for sale but could be bought. I think it's a repop that someone added the oil splash too. It dosen't look like it has ever been bolted to an engine. Someone painted it silver I am not sure why. I would take $350 for it. I will get some photos later in you are interested.
