If I am understanding correctly then the Dearborn cars were not stamped on top tanks but had a separate tag soldered to the tank bracket as indicated by the fact NPD offers reproduction tags in their catalog and indicates that they were mostly used on Dearborn cars, which BTW mine is.

Yea, I really like the way the samples look on his site.
It looks like he has the proper equipment to do all those little imperfections just like they did back in 1965.
Very cool then!!
I am going to order from him this Saturday!!

$800.00 bid on a fan???? this is crazy!!!! are the repros THAT bad??

I wonder why a competent radiator shop couldn't take a high quality brand new radiator that is correct looking cosmeticly and stamp the correct numbers on it??? I inquired yesterday to my local radiator shop that I have delt with for many years and he said he could take the provisions for the auto trans cooler lines out and make the bottom tank look like they were never there, so I am now wondering if the correct stamps can be had to make a correct reproduction (Clone-I hate the word clone) radiator??

There is a guy named Tony Garcia that has an ad for authentic reproduction window stickers advertised on the MCA site.
his website is http://www.mustangstickers.com I am wondering if anyone has gotten stickers from him and what you think of his product and service.
He gets $55.00 for 2 stickers-1 lamanated 1 not, he uses mostly info that the customer provides, he says he has info on many dealerships that were in business back when the cars were delivered, I am lucky in this respect in that I have THE original owners manual from my Kar, so I have the absolute correct dealers name, and city.
I understand that "Tony" has an old Daisey wheel like the originals were typed with, I also understand that BLANK stickers are available from many Mustang parts suppliers for under $10.00.

I am wondering what sort of an original looking radiator WITHOUT provisions for cooler lines I can come up with if I'm not concerned about an original HIPO radiator??

Marv, God speed on your recovery!!!! we all miss you, and couldn't get along without you for too long!!

I had seen calipers online before.
I think this is the better way to go, anyone else use these folks calipers?
-
Thanks Again Fred!! I knew that you would know about these.
-
I think Fred (C6ZZKGT) has done this?? I just bought a beutiful pump from him.
-
OK, do the Kelsey/Hayes calipers have the K/H name stamped into them?? can these Fenco units be used in place of the K/H?? and look the same??
I think I'm going to try the rotors!
-
OK, I'm going to try this.....probably won't work.
-
I am seeing the FENCO calipers and AMICO rotors on Ebay and was wondering if anyone here has used them as replacements on a factory disc brake car??
This stuff seems too cheap $$ to be any good, I have asked the seller where they are made.
The pad hold downs on the calipers don't look right in the picture, the rotors LOOK just like the originals.
-
Fred, Please tell us a little about what you saw when you inspected the car?? what all was wrong with it?? I'm curious
-
Are you possibly talking about the few RETRACTABLES that were done by a private company??
