The grommet pictured looks very much like the ones used for the brake line through the shock towers to me.

Take a look on Ebay-there are always generic pumps which resemble the original that will work-my local discount chains can get a generic with the filter canister on it as well.
If you can't find one down under I'd be glad to get you one and ship it to you.
I'm not sure when and if Fred is going to do anouther run of his great restores/rebuilds-might want to contact him and see-he did mine and it works perfectly and looks great too! (3939S)

Stephan, Brant will take good care of you there at VA Mustang!! Great supplier to deal with!
-
Thanks Guys for your replies!!
I think I'm going to take rr64s advise and put at the very least some commercial octane booster in my 93 octane Sunoco gasoline.
or possibly get a gallon or 2 of Sunoco racing fuel that we have here locally-its about 8.50 per gallon.
-
Thanks Guys!!! I understand I can get NON Ethinol gas at a couple of marinas here locally-(our current gas is all the 10% Ethinol)(of which I have in the tank right now) I believe that the very first gas that was put into my car's tank was regular 87 octane stuff, so I have put 5 gallons of Sunoco 93 in it with a whole bottle of octane booster, and a double dose of Sta-Bil, and will go th just straight 93 octane when I need more gas.
Yes, We put hardened valve seats in as the originals were trashed anyway, so I'm good to go on that.
BTW: any estimates as to how the .030 bore and the .015 cut to the heads has changed the cubic inch size of the engine or the compression? has this washed each other out?
-
Can I expect my K engine to run as is was ment to on todays 93 octane pump gas?
It was completely rebuilt to stock specs (had to be bored .030) and heads were cut about .015, other than that its all stock.
I don't plan on any all out racing or anything like that, just some spirited driving on Sunday afternoons.

OK, gotcha. May be our friend "Earlyk" can shed some light on this??

I am truely sorry that I even considered asking the question that I did that caused all this trouble and bad blood between members here-that surely wasn't my intention at all.
In over 10 years on the internet being involved in about 12 automotive (and truck) websites I have never had a thread that I started or contributed to locked up-I certainly don't blame the mods for doing this either.
Can't we all just enjoy our hobby!!

I don't know whic companies carpet you carry at VA Mustang, but I am told that the Trim Parts carpet is a very superior product (though not 100% perfect) I think there was some descussion a while back in which a member was looking for 64.5 Coupe carpet and Trim Parts had it.
My restorer installed the Trim Parts carpet in my '65 Convertible and it fit better than he expected.
-
Brant, Are you looking for just the heel pad? or a complete carpet set with the correct 64.5 pad in it?
Might want to check with TRIM PARTS, I believe they have the correct carpet available....
-
Thanks again Brant! as far as I can tell everything I have gotten from you has been the very best quality reproduction parts that I have seen in the industry!
BigAl: Again, Please understand that my restorer recomended to me that we obtain NOS parts on several things during my car's restoration which I did not question and went and bought everything that he suggested we get, he never spoke to me about the parking lights being an issue or THOSE would be NOS on my car.
-
Thanks guys!! GOOD INFO!
-
Thanks Brant! These repros were purchased by my restorer at the big wholesaler in NC.....may be they are of lesser quality than the ones you sell?-I'm going to remove them and start over to see what is going on....
-
Thanks Brant for the reply! AND also thanks very much again for your GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!
-
Mine are not fitting flush like they should, I know all about the poor quality of reproduction parts in general but is there some way I can gently massage these into the holes in the valance so they fit better? my front valance I believe is a Ford Tooling part while like I said the lights themselves are reproductions-anyone else have this issue and solve it??
BTW: Do the lights go in with the fat or wider edge towards the inside or outside? may be its just that mine were reversed when installed? I know they are side specific.
-
I just noticed on my rear valance on my '65 GT with b/u lamps that there are 2 small "dings" just to the right of the right b/u light, looks as if the valance was painted with the dings there, are they some type of plant-specific "marking" that is supoest to be there to be correct?
-
Guys, I just went to swap out these clamps and found that since the EH53s are like a horse shoe that they won't slip over the pipe...do I need to loosen the extension and slip it off the resonator & then slip the EH53 on??
-
I am going to make it MY mission to dig up a copy of an original sticker from an original manufacturer/tire and have it correctly reproduced.
-
I'm wondering now if anyone reproduces the original stickers for use on the spare? Thanks for the pictures!
