I guess the other way of looking at it might be a block, crank, and rods....... (assuming they're all HiPo goodies, Brinell mark, etc.)

I would imagine there won't be that much enthusiasm the next time around.

I'm in Chico during the week and Redding on the weekend. If you can let me have it for a couple of weeks that ought to do it. Jim Chism, one of the MCA judges with a plastic molding company is going to measure it for a pattern. He has helped us in the past with fastback screw covers. If you need any of those let me know and I can get you a set.

You may be best off calling the grinder. I'm not familiar with that name, but there are many cam grinders who sell their own version of various factory performance cams, including the HiPo profile. (Assuming O'Reilly's is the grinder.....)

We are trying to find a sample of this torsion rod bushing to use as a pattern to reproduce them. These images are of an utlra low mileage original Shelby and are courtesy of John Murphy. If you have an example and are willing to loan it (the bushing, not the car:) for use as a mold pattern please send me a PM. Thanks.

There was very little information made available about the car, and the repeated listings without any text information could well have had a bearing on the final price.

Well done. I particularly like the shot of the badge and wheel.

Dave, I stand corrected on this as I failed to notice the "reserve not met". I need to open my eyes more in the early morning hours when I read the auction!! I am deleting my previous post on this.

Fred - I was thinking it might have traded hands outside of ebay. No harm done.
-
Did it acutally sell? It says reserve not met on the listing......

I find the back-masking is easier with a wider tape you can form into a loop by rolling sticky side out. As Jeff said, don't fold it, just roll it.

Have you outgrown the new garage yet?
Have to be getting close! -
No one is disagreeing with the notion that this is a nice car. The point is that a long list of options doesn't make a car valuable. Granted, the car appears to be in good condition, but a vinyl roof was not a very popular option even back in the day.
-
No doubt this is a highly optioned car, but rare doesn't always command a premium. Performance enthusiasts aren't generally fans of automatic transmissions. Vinyl tops are a somewhat similar case; nice, but not worthy of a premium.

Any part numbers?

Tom - If you should find anything on the fabled "desert" radiator I'd welcome the info. It gets hot as hell where I live and if I could find one in the scrap yard today I wouldn't know what it was.......

People know you well enough here and over on the VMF that you won't be held accountable for a typo or editorial boo boo.

I'm now getting conflicting reports on the DEARBORN radiators: In this months Mustang Monthly there is a restorer guy whos name escapes me right now but he states that the DEARBORN radiators have the ROUNDED TABS on the top, and I'm hearing that this info is wrong....is there a repro/aftermarket/replacement unit that is close avalable? I didn't find anything at Daytona BTW execpt well over 1,000 vehicles for sale in this bad economy.
That was Murf in the article.

Bo,
Can you post a picture of the orginal next to the repro?
