I'm driving Poppy from Ca to Vegas. I have been invited to join in at the 64.5 original owners display. I would be more than happy to participate in any "K" code event that might be set up. Are there any K's going that were at the Mustang Plus K day?
Time is getting close and I'm sure looking forward to meeting and making some new friends. Laki
Yes it was a very successful day, even with my down time I had a great time meeting new fellow mustangers and seeing some very impressive Kars. What more can I say about our host Ron and all the knowledge folks at Mustang Plus who helped me get Poppy rolling happily along. Thanks again. Hay with 18 Kars we could start our own club and meet maybe every couple of months!!!!!!!Laki
Sounds like a great show and all you guys had a busy time trying to find all the "K's" that were there. I wish I could of come but my local club here in Grass Valley had our annual show.
Are all you guys planning on going to the Mustang Plus show in Oct, maybe we can all meet there. They are planning on doing something special for all the K's that show up. Laki
Great job on the site. I would also be interested in whatever is going. Laki
My 64.5 K coupe mustang has the number 81 or maybe 18 depends on how it was stamped. I tried to take a picture but with the headers there I was not to succesful. Laki
At last years show Ron did mention about having a K show and I still think it would be a great idea. Yes I would be interested in bring Poppy down for the show. Laki.
I'm not sure about a 66 but my 64.5 has the cap with the hose fitting at 90 degrees. I have not been able to find the correct cap but I will check out the number you posted. Laki
One item not mentioned is the clutch pedal return spring. It does not take a lot of room but if your's breaks you stay put.
I know. Laki
Lyle, i did receive your e-mail and I will get that information in the mail tomorrow, tuesday. Laki.
Lyle, this is your lucky day. Since I read your posting on Hipo vs 350 Shelby I have been looking through my 43 years of Mustang book collection and I have just found what you have been looking for. If you would like to send me your address I can make copies of the two tests and send them to you. Laki
Boy do I feel sorry for you guys back East because there is no way that I could my Kar under wraps for 5 months without a little spin somewhere. California living. <img src=images/icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle>Laki
I would like 1 of 1. Laki
Shelby and wildlife employees can laugh all they want because I know for a fact that for the first 5 years of my 64.5 K's life she saw many revs at 7200 and over and some were pretty close to the 8000.
With a stock engine and the first rebuild was around 130,000 miles. Laki
Kevin, congrats on getting your car to a show! Your car would be more appreacited at a Mustang and Ford show, I'm going to the Mustang Plus show on 10/21/06. Of all shows that I have attended this show has more K's than any other. I don't think that you could get a spot, it's kind of late but you could get on stand by or even show and we could still get together. Call and see what they have to say. If you decide to show up I have a 64.5 Poppy red coupe. Laki
