Yes Dave, don't know for sure that the Autolite large
card board box was actually from 1965.
When did Autolite remove the STAR marked plugs from
their parts list.

Dave,
When I found and bought two complete boxes of ten BF-32's
at Carlisle many years ago they were the last from a large
cardboard box that was dated 1965. They have 5 ridges so the swap from 3 ridges must have been done earlier than 65.

Hope all of you Aussies and your families are safe
from the dreadful fires in SE Australia.
Read there are people setting the fires like
so many times in California. My solution for those people is
HANG THEM!

My 65 Shelby, San Jose car, of course, has the
plate matching what you call the OEM 1965 Dearborn
on your pictures.

Could it have been Buddy Belzer from Rapid City
in South Dakota? Don't know if he has ever been a
member here but he is a Shelby guy that sold a lot
of HiPo/Shelby stuff over the years.
Bought a HiPo crank myself from him about 17 years ago.
/Bo
The thing that made the most difference was the Pertronix ignition
cables. Had Marti's HiPo repos and they worked fine but the new
cables gave a new kick and throttle response.
This is mounted in my 67 Shelby with a 289 HiPo, Ford 4-speed and
3.89:1 Detroit Locker rears.

We have to get rid of all crimes in Texas, too much Jury Duty.

Thanks,
So what colors did a San Jose HiPo fastback with
an aluminum T10(Shelby bound) with a production
date around May 7, 1965 have?
/Bo
Hi guys,
Did all 65 and 66 HiPo drive shafts have a green and white
marking or were there other colors used. Remember we discussed
this before but don't remember the answer. Many years ago a
65 R-model R104 had a shaft with a dark blue a light blue and a black stripe. That's what I used when restoring my car in 1990-92.
/Bo
Strange that the date code is 5H26 which is
August 26, 1965. Is it 4H26?
/Bo
Beautiful car! I wish I had grown up in a Mustang HiPo
but my dad had a Volvo PV and later a Ford Cortina.

Dave,
Only know that it's not possible that it's bored to 302.
Shows the owners lack of knowledge.
/Bo
Fred,
It's not only in the books 65 Shelby/HiPo
had 8 3/4". My ring gear measures exactly
8 3/4" in diameter.
Bo
Have used BF32s for over 30 years and never had any problems.
Your friend that said his came apart maybe cracked one during
installation.
/Bo
I am running BF32's in both my cars.
Never had a problem.
/Bo
I didn't know that 8 3/4" rears were used on A-code
cars. My 65 Shelby (K-code of course) has 8 3/4"
rears. 66 K-code cars had 9" rears. Thought that A-code
cars had 8" rears.

Sorry, but have never been able to post pictures here.
However, sent pictures of the knob to Dave together with the following text:
Hi Dave,
Removed the knobs from my original wire in the 65 and the repro I have.
There are 4 differences:
C is much crisper on the original.
Original is more gloss than repro.
Ribs on original are wider and space between are shorter
Screw in-six on original is larger than on repro.
Maybe Dave can post them.
Please note that this is a very old repro.
Also, please note that the heater cables rubber tubing is 1/4" and the choke cable 5/16" OD. Inner diameter is 1/4" and tubing thickness
1/32" on the choke tubing. Tried to use the crimp from the heater cable on the choke cable but as said, it was too small.
I have spent hours to find tubing and crimps in hardware stores, Loews and Home Depot to no avail. Checked internet with the same results.

Congratulations, hope you win.
You have a beautiful car.

Fred,
Your organizational skills must be amazing just to keep
these from getting mixed up. Almost regret that I didn't send my 3939 pump which was NOS in the box. Should have sent my 4201
that I brought with me to Sweden last summer for my friend's 66
Shelby, 6S923. It works fine but could have used some TLC.
Well, this is what the hobby is all about, isn't it?
Friends helping friends.
