Thanks Fred, I just went back thru my receipts from 1998 and you are correct, I sent Pony the Autolite carb I found in the trunk and they said it wasn't original to the car. So I could either rebuild that carb or swap for a 4100 clone wanna be and that's what I did.

Thanks for the pointing that out. I corrected the ad.

    Chuck

    1966 Mustang ‘Kcode’ GT Coupe

For sale, 1966 Mustang ‘K’ code GT Coupe. This is a real GT, not a dealer or owner made GT (the original build/buck tag contains the code PIO (Performance Image Option). I purchased this car in May 1997, after a total restoration it was road worthy in the late Fall of 2003 but leaves the garage only occasionally and only if the weather is right. I have driven this car about 1700 miles since it was completed.

    ************************************************************

    A lot more pics here >> http://community.webshots.com/user/kcode66

    ************************************************************

Here are some of the details:

    BODY:

Initial major body work by Gelsi Mustang, a very well known Mustang restoration shop located in Vineland New Jersey in December 1997. Car had paint media blasted off. Final body work and paint (Candyapple Red ‘T’ code) also by Gelsi in 2002. (Detailed receipts)

    ENGINE:

1965 block(no vin), 1967 Hipo heads(19 on both heads). The cast headers, Harmonic balancer(reconditioned by Damper Doctor), distributor are 1965 parts. The Autolite 4100 is a clone built by Pony carbs (purchased Aug. 1997), sits on a Ford Hi-rise aluminum intake (C90X-9424- that was on the engine when I bought the car. Engine rebuilt by Alderman Automotive, New Castle Delaware, April 2005.

Engine was bored .030, heads were cut for larger valves, relief port work on the bowls, Tri ‘Y’ jet coat headers. (Detailed receipts). Bollman Racing Dyno services: engine produced 305HP, 284lbs Torque, Dyno sheet available on request,

    TRANSMISSION/DRIVE TRAIN/SUSPENSION:

This car has a Ford Factory C4 Automatic, with the 'C' servo. Transmission rebuilt by Transmission Specialities, Aston Pa. August 2000. Car came with original Ford 9” rear, 3.50 ratio (Rear Tag WCZ-S). Currently, the car has 3.89 ratio installed, the 3.50 is stored in a case. Car has the Shelby 1 ¼ front drop, Konis all around, new 5 leaf mideye rear leafs and new pitman and idler arms as they installed on the GT 350’s. Car had incorrect driveshaft, so I had it cut to size and balanced.

    INTERIOR:

The car had a Pony interior when I purchased it, it should be a standard interior. I replaced most things because of wear (carpet, door inserts, headliner, dash pad, front seats and panels next to rear seat) except for the rear seat and glove box door, New heater core, heater box cleaned and rebuilt. Steering wheel rebuilt by Bill Herndon, Gaithersburg Maryland.

    Door Plate info:
