I believe most exterior automotive paints are fuel resistent, not sure about interior trim paint, or powder coat. I have like most's had fuel spew out of my fuel filler pipe & on to the paint with out damaging the paint.
I have a pretty good original one I could send you if you want to do a scan of it as most of the original red paint is still on canister?

Spectrophotometer offers the capability of “reading” the actual color & selects the closest match, adjusts the color if needed, and automatically downloads the formula.

With any luck finding a close match to an OEM paint maybe Duplicolor offers the correct shade of white automotive paint in spray cans found at auto parts store... 
I'm also currently in the process of having the red FoMoCo logo reproduced on the canisters, but I would like to determine the correct shade of white. If someone has an bonafide original Ford canister most automotive paint suppliers can scan it to determine the paint recipe.
The original canisters were first plated to help prevent rust inside the canister from condensation, & then the outside was painted
the only problem with the spray bomb solution is that if you get gas on the canister... guess what the white is no longer on the canister. I can probably get a custom spray bomb made up with the correct paint

do you have a canister stencil for the red FoMoCo?
did you have an original canister scanned for the correct color?
Thanks for the offer, unfortunatly I do not have a spray gun. It is to my understanding the original canister is a off-white color. There are many different shades of white automotive paint available in spray cans. Do you know of an automotive paint color (name) in a spray can or what shade of white is a close match to the original canister? Thanks....
Does anybody know what the correct shade of white paint is for the 1965 fuel pump canister?

The balance spec for the 289 hipo only damper is 24.5 oz.in.
C3OE-6A360-B counterweight is 5.9 oz.in.
289 hipo only flywheel/flex plate is 30.4 oz.in.
All non hipo 289 dampers, flywheels, & flex plates 28.2 oz.in.
All spec's are from Ford engineering drawings.
Jim Cowles said these dampers are balanced to 28 oz.in. which incorrect for the 289 Hipo. If you plan on using one of these dampers I highly recommend that you check the balance of your engines rotating assembly.

The Ford engineering drawings that I found for the 1965 Dearborn/NJ (square tab) radiator show a G suffix for V8, manual transmission. Kevin Marti's tagbook shows G & Y suffix for 1965 260/289 manual transmission.
I have a radiator for a V8, manual transmission Dearborn car it has square tabs, & the LH support is stamped: DEP C4ZE-8005-G1 5EB

I haven't seen one but apparently they do exist. I have a copy of the Ford engineering drawing for the C7ZE damper it has a stepped outer ring.
