Looks like it goes to a larger car. I have one for an early sixties Ford, but it does not look like that, except that it is about the same size.

Troy - from the pictures you posted, it looks like you got them on. What was the resolution? I had similar problems, but do not recall all of the answers. I do know that the AMK nuts would not work with Koni shocks and that I had to jack it up to align the export brace, but do not remember the answer to the washer fit problem at the towers.

Marv and Hank showed some pretty keen foresight five years; foresight that has translated to a windfall for our hobby. And that has translated into some pretty happy people. Thank you, guys!

The repro set I got from Mark (MMV.HIPO) sure look a lot like these. Thanks for posting.

Troy, thank you for the pictures. You're having fun, that's for sure. It looks great!

I found this ebay listing to be a hoot. Anyone recall a (questionable) K offering from this same town some time back? Also, note the seller feedback history - see the dates and buyer ids... hmmm

When you install the new gasket, you can trim off the excess around the edge for a cleaner look.
That's what I've done - and then I spray a little engine color into a can and touch up the ends with a detail brush (anal?). I don't know what the MCA would think about it for judging, but it does make the gasket much less noticeable.

Man, that beats the heck out of most Hollywood flicks.

Qman - I agree with Troy. I'm guessing here that your interpretation of the numbers is off a little.
Could it be S2MS with 9424A?

Wow is right. I can think of a variety of scenarios where ya' might pay that much for a project, but is profit one of them? Well, maybe we'll see it at one of the auctions down the road.

There are a bunch of threads in the site on this subject. The link above is but one.
I did my engine bay three times before I was satisfied – I did not use a rattle can, but have the extra paint for touch-up. The two paints I considered:
- PPG DAR9000 with DX685 flattener. Get the DX685 spec sheet and mix the flattener and catalyst according to "eggshell" which will give you about a 30-35% gloss.
- Dupont DDL 9423 straight, catalyzed.
The DDL will give you a slightly deeper black appearance than the DAR.
It is recommended to spray a base of DP90LF epoxy primer.

I usually have all of my drive shafts retubed during restorations because you end up with a new looking shaft rather than a pitted and cleaned up one.
-Fred-
Right. It does not cost much to get it cleaned and rebalanced. Mine is quite pitted after forty years here in the north, but I cleaned it up, had it balanced, put new U-joints on it and it is pretty nice.

Also, do they all have the hold-down lip at the bottom?

I usually use either NPD or Va. Mustang. There are different brands of parts which you can inquire about when you order. In NC, I have to pay sales tax if I buy from NPD, so I find myself ordering from Va Mustang more often. Get all your fasteners directly from the AMK website where you can order online. Also, Va. Mustang has online ordering which I prefer, NPD does not.
Always go for the higher quality when it's offered, do not go after cheapest price. Try to obtain NOS Ford when you can, especially for the soft metal parts like hood lip moldings and grille moldings.
I agree with everything that Charles says and will add that, if you need a rebuilt steering box, "Dallas Mustang" is the answer.
