This is the other cam. It came in a Hipo tube but wasn’t obviously. Can’t find any end marks, but right before the last journal has a big cast “R” and what looks like a “9F” or “PF” stamped below it.
Any info would be appreciated
Thanks

Have two cams from a recent purchase.
One is an NOS C9OZ-6250-C, which I understand is a high performance cam for hydraulic lifters. Interestingly, the 1970 MPC lists it for 289 - “All high perf vehicles” and “use with high riser aluminum manifold”
Anyone have any more info on it?
I’ll put the other one in a separate post.
Thanks

So more interesting info…a guy posted in a hipo FB group yesterday that he had a C8OE-A hipo. No VIN. But block cast 1 day before mine and assembled same day. What are the odds.
So 2 C8OE-A motors with hipo internals don’t make a trend, but certainly a couple interesting data points. His engine came with a T bucket project, so no idea the history. Was it from the factory that way, or parts added later?
Pictures of his below
Thanks

Picked up a C8OE-A block, cast date 7F21, with hipo internals, hipo cam, etc. Seller said it was from a Shelby guys collection, and he thought it might be a service replacement block. I think it’s a block someone added hipo parts to.
I know Cleveland began using their C8OE-A 302 blocks for 289s in mid 67 (May/June) as the C5AE-E blocks ran out, which is right in this one’s time frame. Has anyone ever seen a legit C8OE-A hipo, or was it possible to order a hipo short block over the counter, and maybe Cleveland used the C8OE-A?
This one has no VIN, but hipo caps, rods, crank, and cam. Rods and crank have orange paint. Nylon tooth cam gear with regular 289 chain and crank gear, although had a hatchet, hipo crank gear, and C8 balancer separate.
Doesn’t look like the caps were added but going to check again.
Just interested interested in opinions.
Thanks,
Rich

I saw that in another post. I will check that.

Thanks again Fred. Sounds like a plan on the existing boosters.
On the inlet, it is ok. I removed the brass fitting and screwed a fuel line in fine. The flare seat in the carb looks a little oxidized but ok. That fitting had a much smaller opening on the other end, so don’t know what they were using it for.
Thanks,

Just picked up a C6ZF-C with incorrect boosters, so looking if anyone has a spare BA and M or MA (ha, I know). Guess this carb had an M, but would consider an MA, as I understand that is for an auto trans.
It has A and CF (say 2FC?) boosters in it now. Anyone know what these are for, and if they'll run ok?
Thanks,
Rich

Anyone have any experience with Chicago Carburetors? Saw this Holley 3259 on one of the FB groups that looked pretty good. Owner was happy with their restoration.
