Hi Fred,
From what I have been reading this evening, I agree and think it was made by Offenhauser. And I think it's an original, not a repop, and would have originally been from a '66 GT350. At least that's what I think I'm reading.....I could be wrong.....and I'm open to learn.
Thanks,
Kevin
Trying to figure out exactly what I just bought. This intake was on a 289 I just bought. I think I know what it is, but many of you have forgotten more than I know about K-code anything, and I'm anxious to learn more. Any ideas/comments are welcome. Thanks!
Fred,
Got it - thank you!
Kevin
Fred, and/or current owner of this:
I have a little bit of history on this Kar if anyone is interested. The before-eBay history....my personal timeline starts at about 2007. Kar was in Pennsylvania way before that. We were after this Kar for years...
If anyone's interested, PM me.
Thanks,
Kevin
Hi All,
Long time Mustanger here, been into '65/66s since the mid-1980s. But just a few weeks ago was able to purchase a '65 K-GT coupe. Long road ahead on the resto and I will do it all myself....this one is worth saving. All there (with special K parts), minus the original engine. I am very versed in '65/66 Mustangs, but not the super-fine details of K-codes, since I've never owned one until now. Looking forward to diving into the forums to learn more.
Question - Does anyone have a copy of one of the Tony Gregory books that they'd be willing to sell? Or at minimum look and see if my Kar is in the registry?
Thanks!
Kevin in Virginia
Hi All,
I'm a bit new around here, but been into '65/66 Mustangs since the mid-1980s. Always wanted one, but just finally purchased my first K-code (K-GT coupe project) a few weeks ago. I'm pouring through the forums trying to learn stuff.
That all said, is there any update on the potential to restart the registry?
And if anyone has Tony Gregory's book(s), could someone look up and see if my Kar is in there? (I'm searching high and low for a copy of that book!!!)
Thanks!
Kevin
Looking for the original block (and any other engine parts) for my '65 K-GT coupe. Kar was originally out West, but then on East coast at least since the late 1980s/early '90s north of Washington DC. I suspect that the engine might have been pulled when it came to the East coast. Any leads would be appreciated! Thank you!
Crawling around my buddy’s fastback, he found the engine in it is stamped 5R07K227170. In case anyone is looking for it. It’s not for sale, except possibly to the owner of the car it belongs in. Thanks
