If you made something up with a brass 3/8 female 'T', 2 nipples (one into the manifold, one for the hose)and a plug in the end, I'd bet it would look pretty much to specs with everything installed.

This set of used Arvinode muffler hangers sold for $91.69
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/…1%3D%26_fvi%3D1
They are the later style.

I don't know - I seem to remember the strap on my 66 six cylinder was more like a fabric webbing material, sort of like a lifting strap. But it was approx. the same dimensions as the ebay part.
And they have 20 pieces for sale. I'd imagine one tire would yield about 20 straps if you cut it up.

I'm not sure which I like more-
The empty exhaust holes or
The LeMans stripe/rocker stripe/rocker molding/cove ornament combo.
I like wire wheel covers, just not on that car. Dog dishes would be the perfect finishing touch. Think about it.

Make sure to dissconnect the battery anytime you work on the ignition switch!
Don't ask me how I know.

Well, according to the other post on this car, I see its build date was actually Dec. 30, 1964. I was pretty close with my guess though.
Oh, and happy 100th post to me.

Probably a first week of January, 1965 car.
Only a few hundred units away from my kar.

The Fram PH3614 is the Toyota one. It's shorter AND smaller in diameter. But the threads and gasket match up fine.
-
The Fram PH16 is even a little shorter than the FL-300.
Or you could go with a dual remote filter set-up if you want to get really tricky.<img src=images/icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Needs plenty of work and parts, but could be a great long term project for the right hobbiest.

The unibody for dual exhaust cars has several differences compared to single exhaust cars. They include hanger locations and the location of the rear brake hose, and maybe the style of rear axle bumper plate used. This would have been one of the first things the assembly line workers needed to know when setting up the platform of the unibody.
I believe that the buck tag would also denote that unibody was set up for dual exhaust with the code "DE"
So in answer to the OP's question, I think that single and dual exhaust unibodies are two seperate animals.

I think the reason that some believe the pushrods were hardened is because they actually ride against the pushrod slot in the hipo heads. Being hardened would protect them from wear.
Bending pushrods would be symptomatic of larger engine problems, such as a stuck or bent valve, broken rocker arm, *large* chunks of debris in the valvetrain, or something like that.

<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>I am interested in a system for my june 64 k coupe<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana" size=2 id=quote>
June 64 is early for the Arvinode system. It probably came with a transverse dual system, which is currently reproduced and available at places like NPD or Mustangs Unlimited.

The #4 cap DOES appear to be genuine hipo, but I bet it started out life as a 1, 2, or 3. They probably ground off the number so there wouldn't be any confusion for future rebuilders.

Does anyone have any thoughts or opinions on using a spray on bedliner product (like for pick-up trucks...Rhino liner comes to mind) as a sound deadener on the inner fenders? It seems to dry very hard and be very durable.

Oh, and by the way, tap the sides of the spacer to free it up. If you hit the center pilot in an attempt to drive it through, you risk peening pilot over. And then it would be really stuck. Just take your time, and maybe a little twisting action might help too.
-
If it hasn't been off in 30 years, it might be frozen on. Some gentle taps with a hammer, a little WD-40, and a nice strong grip with gloved hands should be able to pop it free.
